It started around 90 years ago. The 2nd largest Bulldog Club is in Jax. UGA wanted it's fans in South GA and North FL to be able to attend a game without having to drive to Athens and spend the night.I’ve never understood what UGA gets out of playing in JAX. It sucks in the years when the SEC counts it as a home game
I can understand the thinking in 1980 . . . but it's hard to understand why they didn't stop it about 30 years ago. It makes the UGA home schedule terrible every other year when they only get 3 SEC games at home.It started around 90 years ago. The 2nd largest Bulldog Club is in Jax. IIRC, UGA gets $2M for the game. The down side is, we can't host recruits when we are the "home team". Kirby hates that, so either we will be allowed, or it will become home and home.I can understand the thinking in 1980 . . . but it's hard to understand why they didn't stop it about 30 years ago. Georgia linebacker cited for allegedly driving 88 in 55-mph zone; Bulldogs driving incidents continueHopefully the Dogs have opened up their driving school for players and coed coaches….
