Hate to say it, but this is the all day, every day Duke/Coach K tourney…

Anyone that knows anything about basketball that watched the game could see how much better of a team Duke was than Arkansas. It was a 9 point win and it wasn’t even that close.

That’s one logical approach to take…

However, you could also go into the facts that college basketball as a whole across all D1 men’s basketball has been allowed to be unbelievably more physical of late. The Arkansas-Tennessee game being a prime example, or Baylor-UNC, or almost any B1G game this season.

Jay Bilas has been preaching about it almost all season. But it was definitely a Duke thing. Definitely.

Anyone who knows anything about basketball knows that Duke is notorious for getting favorable calls, especially in the tourney. Even the committee themselves gifted them a #2 seed when every sports pundit in America thought it was a farce.

Duke is a solid team, better than Arkansas. But it would've been nice to let the teams fight it out themselves.
I’ve said on here on several times that Duke shouldn’t have been a 2. I said that the Vols should’ve been a 2 and even could’ve made a good argument for a 1. I’ve heard no one outside of this board talk about the officiating being poor in either of the last 2 Duke games. Not to the point of it having an impact of deciding the game .Not even dropping by a UNC board. Duke is playing very good basketball right now and just played great offensively against two of the best defensive teams in the country.

Agree with just about everything you said.

But it's even more reason to let the teams play it out. Call it fairly. Not saying refs caused the win. But there were favorable calls and non calls in Dukes favor

I’m sure there were, I can probably point to a few. I think the original point that started the discussion was that Duke was gifted the game. I didn’t agree with that.

I'm admittedly biased against Duke. I will root for any team over them. And he'll go down as one of the greatest ever, but I have zero respect for Coach K. He's a sleaze, arrogant, foul mouthed cheater. So my wording at times may be stronger than I really mean. They weren't gifted, but they were helped.

Even ole Roy blue or white Caddy Williams said such nasty words… damn him to hell.
