Sort of matches up with my belief that political activism takes the place of religion for many. Politics promises salvation for the world if you only elect the right leaders and adopt the correct policies. As such it is „easy“ and makes the problem dependent on „other people“ who just won’t vote correctly. Religion (or at least Christianity calls for saving the world one particular soul at a time, beginning with the extremely hard work of coming to grips with your own sinfulness above and before all else. Politics says mankind is fixable with the correct governmental policies. Christianity says that man is unalterably fallen and must seek help from a savior. Only when enough people are dealing withbtheir own sinfulness and trying to live a righteous life can a civil society come about

I could not have stated it better.

What lifestyle are those liberals pushing on you? Is it just that you see lifestyles that you disagree with? How do we make lifestyles invisible so that we don't have to see ones we disagree with?

For one trying to get people to accept all the different sexual preferences as normal and look to punish anyone who doesn't.

How is this different than the forcing of interracial relationships onto the public and the similar backlash?

Good question if that is what's happening. I do know the woke advertisers are now putting mixed couples in most of the commercials to satisfy their political correctness.

The latter conform to the law of God manifest in our nature; the former are abominations discordant with that same law.

Based on your belief system, which may or may not be shared. Should others be forced to submit to your belief system?

Is it worse for some teachers to teach any aspect of CRT or all teachers to be banned from teaching CRT at all? Who is pushing their beliefs on who? Everybody.
Damn, when I go to Burger King, they make the burger my way... not whatever f^^king way they want. Same goes when these parents send their kids to school. The school should be meeting the needs of the parents... not coming up with their own set of standards.

Based on your belief system, which may or may not be shared. Should others be forced to submit to your belief system?

1) The basis of this exchange was Americans being compelled by force of law or by employers' demands to give approbation to what was until very recently recognized by the overwhelming majority to be deviant behavior. The onus, then, is on the advocates of such compulsion to explain why a Jack Phillips, a Baronelle Stutzman, or a Peter Vlaming should be forced to submit to their belief system.

2) However these questions are ultimately settled in the law and in social norms, they will be settled in accordance with the belief system of some and contrary to the belief system of others.

3) My assertion is not wholly or even primarily metaphysical (certainly less so, I would argue, than many of the propositions to which it stands opposed). It is only the union of a man and a woman that engenders children; the other behaviors under consideration cannot produce children, and they arouse a natural disgust in most (I speak of the experience of man across time and space).

4) I do not propose forcing anyone to submit to my belief system. God has made us free to choose righteousness or sin, life or death. Government need not concern itself with eradicating all sin (nor does it have the capacity to do so justly). At the same time, no one should be required to give his approbation to deviant conduct, nor should children be taught that deviancy is good. Toleration is a virtue, but we should remember that we can only tolerate that which we do not approve.

New psychology research indicates hatred toward collective entities inspires meaning in life

"The ability of hatred to spur meaning in life may be explained by motivational states associated with a sense of purpose and significance. Purpose has been linked to Behavioural Activation System (BAS) related motivational states, revolving around commitment to concrete or abstract priorities, and “wanting” states that push people toward their goals. The pursuit of ultimate values is associated with these same BAS-processes and may enhance BAS activation due to excitement relating to the transcendent significance of one’s goals. If hate provides a sense of purpose by presenting an enemy that ought to be stopped, those who experience hate could gain a sense of meaning in life through these processes.

Hate may also inspire meaning in life by influencing motivational states linked to coherence and threat. Coherence involves having a predictable view of the world, which is free of threat and uncertainty. The Behavioral Inhibition System (BIS) is activated by threats; for example, a threat to one’s coherent worldview, which may spur internal conflict, as well as feelings of uncertainty and confusion. As such, hate may increase meaning in life by offering a simplistic “us vs. them” view of the world that quells BIS-linked threats."
Sounds like justification for recent behaviors.

Saw a news story yesterday where a professor at a college was deducting points from a student’s grade if they refused to identify their preferred pronouns on their assignments when submitted. Compelled speech is an abomination
My pronouns would have been You/ara/dik. Id post it in every assignment.

Including pronouns has been freeing for me. I've stopped getting email replies addressed to Ms AshG or Mrs AshG. And with the current crop of idiotic names like Reighfyl, you almost have a chance of knowing what to expect

Side note: I once had a student with the first name Mknz. Oy.

Completely hypocritical. Your standards are being forced on everybody else. With these bans, you're trying to prevent my kids from learning something.

My Mom didn't want me in sex ed in 9th grade so she kept me out of it. She didn't ban it for everybody else.

Burger King provides rival, excludable goods. Classroom education is a non-rival, excludable good. The comparison is lacking.

The school should be meeting the needs of the parents... not coming up with their own set of standards.

That happens through school board, state representative, and gubernatorial elections. You want changed standards, you go through the proper process.

Even home school programs have to demonstrate accountability that certain benchmarks are met.

Math has been taught in schools for thousands of years. It has an established place in education. CRT hasn't been here long enough to be put on that same level of importance.

lol.........It highlights exactly why I HATE trumpism. It's the very thing trumpism was designed to exploit.
Define an enemy that must be stopped. The easiest way to accomplish that? Make yourself the enemy that must be stopped and then sceam and moan about the people who are trying to stop you.

Do you people know nothing about Bannon and Stone?
You just described BLM

I've noticed that many Americans who are repeating Russian propaganda fancy themselves as "patriots." They use that word a lot, while working against the interests of our country and spewing hateful lies about those who serve it well.

And now you do what they told ya:

"The "false left–right paradigm" is the political theory that members of opposing political parties such as Republican and Democrat deceptively share common interests and goals, as a one body ruling authority over the masses. The two parties act to create divisiveness and influence the general population while keeping control of the political spectrum. The false left–right paradigm political theory is closely related to theory of Inverted totalitarianism and Managed Democracy.

The false left–right paradigm theorizes that opposing political groups use their influence over the establishment media to dramatize party warfare distraction, in grand performances of bureaucratic rivalry meant to propagandize and divide the populace. Psychological deception is coordinated on all levels of politics and fed through controlled media outlets to divert attention away from the ruling class's hidden agendas. By drawing attention to differences between two political systems, ideologies, races, and classes, the political groups obscure and divide unity among the masses. The tactic creates confusion and frustration among the population, enabling the global elite to increase and consolidate their wealth and power through maintaining an illusion of a two-party system of checks and balances."
