The movie was pretty darn accurate. The feud's Wikipedia page covers alot of what happened in the movie. It's a story so bizarre that if this was a fictional movie, I would have said it was too far-fetched.

Incredible. It's amazing how accurate the series was. Here's hoping History tries something similar in the future.

I should hope not, since it's based on historical events! :)

I'm kinda excited to watch it, but I've gotta get the woman on board, because I feel she needs more historical culturing.

Clay, there are worse things that has happened through out history. There is a shooting damn near every night in modern day Nashville so TIFWIW

Very accurate, if HBO or any other movie channel would had done this it would had been full of Hollywood inaccurate BS.

Spot on Grizz. I hope History takes on more historical events like this in the future. With the success the H&M series had, I would say it is good bet they will.

I'd agree with that grizz. When I think of the h&m's I think of mtn people living in a time before the government could and would supply a man everything but the motivation he needs to succeed.

These were people just coming thru the civil war, so that fight for what you think is right mentality had been beaten into them. Couple that with hatfield deserting the army, no education and limited resources for even the basics needs of survival, and stealing a pig that would feed a family for a long while are all justifiable reasons, especially 150 yrs ago when the law wasn't set up like it is now.

Today every person has the opportunity to be better tomorrow than they are today so shooting someone over a pair of shoes, or street Cred or some stupid bull**** like that.

Like Band of Brothers? Yeah, they sure ruined that story. :)

Still, that's not to take anything away from what History Channel did with H&M. It was a great show, and like others have said, hopefully they'll take on another miniseries like this at some point.

Where did I mention shooting? Disowning a child or contemplating killing your child is absolutely pathetic.

All I know is if I was a Hatfield and the girl in your avatar was a McCoy I would have put our differences aside. Makes me want to move to "Small Town Indiana".

Amazing series! Probably by far the best mini series I've ever watched. Great job by the History Network, Kevin Costner,Bill Paxton and all involved!

I didnt watch band of brothers but I watched the pacific and it was pretty good. I stand corrected. But I hope you understand where I was coming from
