It was a damn good hire. He can recruit, he can coach when talent is available.(He out coached Richt and Spurrier) Our season when in the Shi**er when Worley got hurt. We had to rely on a freshman QB for the rest of the season and hope like he did not get hurt.

This might be true at some other level, but in the SEC, coaches who can recruit win games. Plain and simple. Unfortunately for UT, Jones has proven he's a pretty lousy recruiter.

It's amazing to see all the gloom and despair we all went through. All in all I believe we got the right guy for the job. This year will have it's gloom moments but we will also have great moments and by the end of the year IMO we will all believe CBJ IS the right man for the job. My prediction is a 8 win season with many predicting 2015 to be the year we win the East. Go Vols!!!

I think it's a legit possibility. At least Dooley had worked in the SEC as a position coach and had HC experience recruiting the south. Jones has none of that. We couldn't even win when Dooley was pulling in classes ranked 20th or so, what makes you think we will when Jones is landing us classes in the 40's or 50's?

His first recruiting year he lands #5 in the nation. Lol! This thread is hilarious to look back on. Next years class is shaping up to be just as good.

Honest question. Do you not see a pattern here? Kiffin, Martin, Dooley, Jones? How many diamonds in the rough are we gonna hire? We're 8th nationally in athletic dept revenue. 5th nationally in bball attendance, 3rd largest stadium in the nation. How bout spending some of that revenue on proven leadership? I'm not askin for Bill Belichick but come on! When will they learn?

Nobody wanted this job! Why can't you guys get it thru your p brains! And nobody was ever going yo pay gruden $7 million per year, nor should we!!!!!!!
