Have you ever cried after a loss?

The 05 bama game when Arian foster fumbled through the endzone... Broke my heart. I was 13 lol teared up pretty good

Oh yeah. That wad a good one. I was watching at work and slammed a whole in the computer monitor. Never told anyone I did it.

I have gone mute for hours, sworn off football, gone on a walkabout, broken a few things, and said some things I later regretted...but never cried. At the end of the day, it IS still just a game.

I'm right there with you ... and there are times when a good episode of Little House on the Prairie will get me misty.

Actually, Cory Anderson fumbled that ball. Not sure if it was his only carry of the game. Riggs Jr was running hard all day, blowing people up, finishing his runs. Vols deserved to win that day, esp with that defense. Most upset I've ever been after a game. They WANTED that game.

Never cried after a loss, but as former member of the training staff, saw my share of injuries (Hayden's leg fracture, Henry's neck injury, Little and Lewis ACL injury, Inky) and one i ll always remember, Kevin Mays freak accident while training for the NFL draft ESP w their family involved was tough to watch.

I'll never forget Jason Allen going down against UGA. Also, last year sitting 10 rows up from the Marcus Lattimore injury and seeing him sobbing as he was carted off. Just awful.

I cried as a senior basketball player losing in the Elite 8 of the NC State playoffs to a school with several future NBA players.

I actually broke a chair after/during the 2001 SEC Title game. I was an immature douche, but man I was pissed. Honestly, I'm still not over that December debacle.

I have, but technically it was after a win. Right after the NC game vs. FSU, because I knew it would be the last time we would hear John Ward call a UT game. Still kinda chokes me up a little talking about it.

(yes, guys, I'm joking)

We had the basketball season left...and a sweet ncaa run he got to call too.

calban beat me to it.....the only time i watered up was the 13 player lsu loss.....and i welled up cause of dooley's terrible coaching.....i was thinking there is no way we are paying this guy.....

Wow, there is a lot of testosterone up in this thread. Maybe a little too much.

It is regrettable that it is more accepted for a man to display anger than sadness. Most anger is a result of emotional hurt. (Although some anger is a reaction to injustice.) I think a lot of us feel emotional pain following the loss of a game. It's hard not to when you care about something. I do not think expressing anger is any more manly than expressing sadness. In fact, I think it's the least mature way of expressing hurt. Expressing sadness rarely ruins relationships or estranges one's family members. Expressing anger does. Expressing anger has a lot of negative repercussions. Expressing hurt rarely does - it usually has positive outcomes.

And for the person who said he decided never to cry over things that don't mean something after crying over losing a girlfriend, I would ask this: What means more than the loss of a connection to another person you care about?

For the record, I've never cried over TN losing. I've been sad, however. I have teared up when the T opens up.

/RIP spilled beer

i did actually,the '90 'Bama game

I was at that game. Guy dropped dead of a heart attack coming out of gate 21 not but 15 yards from me..Worse than crying..Never heard more f hammers thrown and anatomically impossible explatives in my entire life. After I saw the guy drop dead I have not quite taken as life and death the W and L's as before seeing that ..Mind you still get ticked and scream at TV..or at the game but usually over it by Sunday football

There's no crying in . . . football.
