Hawaii vs usc

Agreed. Hawaii's only chance is putting points on the scoreboard. They won't stop USC's offense very often and they are going to need turnovers on defense because I don't see many three and outs.

IMO, Hawaii's only chance is if they put up more points than usc is able to put up.

That way the quality of their defense won't matter.

i know you guys hate the man, but there is no question he was an elite offensive coordinator and recruiter. remains to be seen whether he can run a program, but i don't see sc haven't much a problem with hawaii.

FWIW, you are very correct.

I do hate the man.

Can't argue with that kind of logic.

Now, what if monte's kid coached the Vikings, Meyer coached the Yankees, and saban coached the Celtics ?

Who would win ? I'd take the Red Wings.

So unless you win, you can't be a good coach? Good to know. Who cares about talent? Apparently Crompton is on par with Tebow in your mind.

If Meyer/Florida beat No Name/Citadel... it's because Meyer is a better coach and it has nothing to do with talent. Got it.

Also, Virginia Tech's offensive coordinator is better than Monte Kiffin apparently.

Good call. If they score more points than SC, they should definitely be able to win.

Wow.

From that statement, you saw/believe that I think winning doesn't matter, talent isn't important and Tebow=Crompton.

Wrong, wrong and very wrong.

Care to try again ?

What do I want for lunch ?

Did you or did you not say Lane Kiffin has proven nothing and that almost beating Alabama with an inferior team didn't matter?

Yep, you did. Which is weird because I think it proves quite a bit when he almost beats the champions in their house with three walkons starting. In the mean time, Florida got throttled by the same team on a neutral field. That says a lot about both Kiffin and Meyer imo.

I'm guessing you will turn around and say Meyer has a championships but with the way Saban handled Florida's best roster ever, I don't think he'll be beating Bama anytime soon as long as Saban is there.

Why is it so absurd to assume that Kiffin would have done a better job than Meyer against Alabama if he didn't have putrid talent?

If Kiffin being competitive with little talent proves nothing then no coach that starts out at a bad school or a rebuilding school should ever move up the ladder.

Sorry for the misunderstanding.

What I never said was that the Yankees pitching won't hold up if the referees keep calling holding on the defensemen.

You realize you're not as smart as you think you are, right?

Guess that's why you hang around here. Probably get slaughtered constantly by your own fan base.

I know that UT was a field goal away from victory, but you do remember that with 2 min left in the game Bama had the ball at mid-field and UT was down by 9 points right?

Kiffin kept it close, but it took an Ingram fumble and a recovered on-side kick to get into position for that game winning attempt. Can you really attribute either of those events to good coaching?

It proves NOTHING, except that bama won once, Florida won once, and ut lost twice.

I'm guessing you will turn around and say Meyer has a championships but with the way Saban handled Florida's best roster ever, I don't think he'll be beating Bama anytime soon as long as Saban is there.
Yes, Meyer has A championshipS. Bama scored more points than Florida just like the year before Florida scored more points than bama.

Because it is.

What ? He started at usc, went to the Raiders, then ut, then usc and has built or rebuilt NOTHING. Your point ?

From ESPN thanks to droski.

"I know I haven't done anything yet," Kiffin said. "I get it. I don't think you've done something by getting a job. I think you've done something by proving you can succeed at that job. Anybody can get a job, but what do you do when you have it?"

I still find it hilarious how many Florida trolls get rankled when Kiffin's name is mentioned.

You guys also realize Miss. St. played Florida to 10 (with horrible officiating), Arkansas basically beat Florida, South Carolina played Florida to 10 pts.

Guess what Auburn almost beat Alabama at home too, so are you going to crown Chizik as the "messiah" of football coaches?

I would ask you to take your common sense, logic, intelligent reasoning and level-headed comments elsewhere,my friend.

No room for that kind of talk here.

Although I will give the majority of my time to the VOLS and SEC, I will be watching and rooting for every Pac Ten team that plays against USC with unbridled enthusiasm. For tonight, it's go Rainbow Warriors!
