A well crafted ending is well crafted regardless of who wins, therefore it's usually still enjoyable to watch regardless. That's because it leaves you feeling depressed and empty...most people don't enjoy that feeling.
I absolutely despise the Mist, it is the most hated piece if entertainment on my all time most hated list, precisely because of "what it does so well". I left feeling horrible,, and I would have never given them a dime of my money if I knew it before watching. It changed the way I feel about suspense in general. That one stupid piece of garbage is why I read the end of books, and find every spoiler I can get my hands on. I get way more than enough tragedy and "bad things happening to great people" in real life. I don't want to see tragedy win out in imaginary life too. I can take bittersweet, The Silmarillion is full of bittersweet stories that have a sort of melancholy beauty that is rooted in hopefulness, the crap I have seen predicted for GoT is just butt ugly hateful screw everybody over junk.A well crafted ending is well crafted regardless of who wins, therefore it's usually still enjoyable to watch regardless.
The Mist for instance has a great ending imo not because it was happy or because the good guys win, but because it was trying to portray futility and hopelessness and it succeeded. That is a well executed ending imo because it's set up a message and delivered.

Hell no, she is a b***h... but two of her three kids were kind and good natured. Maybe she is at least a decent mom?Is it bad that I'm hoping Cersi dies on mother's day?
But didn't she do it all in an effort to defend her house?the only death of Cersei that I will be 100% satisfied with is her being drawn and quartered. I know it wont happen so I'll be "meh" about it but she has been the one who orchestrated 99% of the negative things in Westeros
I added HBO through Hulu for $15, I highly recommend it. The episodes of all shows are available to be streamed when they air live. Plus you have access to their library (True Detective, Boardwalk Empire, Sopranos, etc.).Ok, direct tv now is pissing me off. It's been down all weekend. They are saying it should be working now, but it isn't. They don't have a customer service line. They only have a chat that is open like 7am to 1pm monday - friday, that is totally unhelpful. They have a policy not to refund anything for service outage. They just jacked prices up and there new package options are terrible. I signed up for hbo now so I can watch GOT. I tried to cancel HBO on Direct TV, and it won't let me access my account info. They've been hemorrhaging customers the last 6 months and I'm starting to see why. Time to shop for a new streaming service.
