Well, there are still some of the same feelings left over from the Blazers-Lakers rivalry of a few years ago. But it's also an equal part of the media being all to ready to sing the praises of Phil Jackson. I have felt for years that the vast majority of his success has been due to the talent his front offices got for him in Chicago and Los Angeles.(vol_freak @ Jun 19 said:Do you really not like the Lakers milo? Kobe or Phil?
You don't have to explain, I was just surprised we both dislike them. I can't stand Kobe, Phil, or the Lakers.(milohimself @ Jun 19 said:Well, there are still some of the same feelings left over from the Blazers-Lakers rivalry of a few years ago. He will eventually drive the Clips into the ground, the same as with the Lakers, Bucks, and Blazers. I'm confident he has pictures of some NBA owners. That's the only explanation for his continued ability to find employment.(milohimself @ Jun 19 said:Yeah, I'd say he's done so so with the Clippers.
Whitsitt and the rest of the front office are the ones primarily responsible for running the Blazers into the ground. Not Dunleavy. The front office remains, Dunleavy is gone and the Blazers are still one of the worst 3-4 teams in the NBA, and have easily the worst reputation.(hatvol96 @ Jun 19 said:He will eventually drive the Clips into the ground, the same as with the Lakers, Bucks, and Blazers. Whitsitt blew it when he kowtowed to the fans and tried to "clean the organization up." The trading of Isaiah Rider and Jim Jackson robbed them of their swagger. They went from a rising power to just another team.(milohimself @ Jun 20 said:Whitsitt and the rest of the front office are the ones primarily responsible for running the Blazers into the ground. I think Phil Jackson is a good coach as well.Of course I'm bias since my sis lives in LA and sent me a Lakers T-shirt the last championship game they won.(hatvol96 @ Jun 19 said:Phil did an awfully good job the year after Jordan retired. Do I think he gets too much credit? Yes. Is he a very good coach? Absolutely.
