Heisman 2011

(..snip..) 1. Tyrann Mathieu- as far as "Heisman moments" he is really the only one that has one of those plays, and he's got a couple, capped off by his punt return in the SEC Championship (..snip..)

Watch much football, do you? I don't think you do.

TM will (should) get his moment. This year isn't it, if any Football God has been paying attention.

I'm not Gumping on this thread either - If I had a ballot RG3 would be lugging home the trophy, with TR upset by a few votes.

I think Richardson is the best player. I think a couple other have had better seasons.

Heisman voting (UPDATE: More from Monday) - JSOnline

Scroll down the Heisman ballots that have been reported & take a peek at Paul Feinbaum's ballot:

Paul Finebaum (Birmingham, Ala., radio host):*1. Richardson; 2. Luck; 3. Mathieu.

Notice the homerism of completely leaving RGIII off his ballot to the benefit of the AL player. How can anyone take anything he says as seriously objective?

Its really cool to see Mathieu getting the credit.

He has more game changing type plays then anyone really.

Glad he made it to NY, its probably the most unique guy to ever make the finals based on his numbers.

Now that Matthieu has had 4 big time game-changing plays, it's hard to say he doesn't deserve it. I'd be good with either him or RGIII.

Honey Badger gets my vote. Off field transgression will be held against him.

Richardson padded his stats against bad defenses. Other than those teams already stated he ran against Ole Miss, Miss St, Tn. In other words the cellar dwellers. It's the Honey Badger. His trophy can have a football in one hand and a joint in the other.

I think Monte Ball deserves it but it sounds like RG3 is gonna get the nod with Luck coming in 2nd and Richardson in 3rd. This was according to a ESPN writers poll conducted on December 5th

Baylor played 1 team with a defense ranked in the top 60 rg3 would not have the same stats playing against the sec.

He was also their entire offense. Without RGIII, Baylor is a bottom tier Big XII team.

RG3, only other one I'd give a vote to is Ball and no way he's winning it. Wisconsin put all their eggs in Wilson's basket. What a shame though. One of the best seasons for a running back in a long time.

The 'he wouldn't have done that in the SEC' argument doesn't fly. Without RGIII, Baylor doesn't have the season they had.
