Not a bad class still a ways to go to finish addressing specific needs lb is the one that I am concerned with.

To get into the top ten ? Averaged about 3.5 for the first 20. Tall order to average 4.3 for the remaining six. An average slightly about 3.5 is more likely. Has anyone officially from UT stated how many recruits we expect to sign for this class ?

With a good coach, this class would be a good and steady foundation to build upon. Under Pruitt, it like casting pearls before swine.

And honestly needs (OL and DL) were the right thing to go after, rankings be danged.

IMO (for all that's worth) I hope to see a monster DT or two from JUCO. These are the guys who can make everyone else on the defense look like all SEC. And JUCO's are often ready to compete at a high level immediately

Ftr...CJP performed slightly better than my 4-8 prediction. His Vandy game was despicable. He did not show us anything this year which could be described as coaching prowess.

Inaccurate? Wrong. I have long held the stance that pakyers should be held accountable for their play. Coaching matters, but tye fact is, a coach can only do so much before the player has to pull his own weight.

Your characterizations of Pruitt and his staff reflect the absurd when he was hired. You said elite recruiters, well have any of those coaches stepped into the situation like they did here? I mean. You made the comment well looks like Pruitt isnt going to be a coaching genius. I mean my God, did you expect him to be? This year was his first year as a HC. Most gave him a mulligan this year. Seems like most but you and some others.

Believe whatever you want. You dont like Pruitt or arent impressed with him? Cool. I am. Of course you should be the one to talk about straw men. But do your thing.

Serious question. What does it mean that Pruitt is recruiting to needs. From my view this year, I saw no player groups that did not need improvement or depth. This is a comment being spewed that does not make sense. Here’s to hoping for several more signees in the following months.

Pruitt is average or maybe a little bit above average, so far. His coaching. His recruiting. His game prep. All average+. His onsides kick ratio is the only thing above average.

I don't fault you for fawning over him. I hope your love and adoration for CJP is proved
well-placed.

I think it means the OL and DL are priority. But it is possible it is just something said here to put a better spin on our mid-conference recruiting.

Pruitt said last year we'd be "right at the top" this year. Good to see finishing 17th is his idea of being at the top.
