Not going to help the RPI, but at this point, that doesn't matter. This game "should" get us to the magical number of 20

A 10 win team? Yeah. They can't pull this one out, they don't need to be dancing.

Still would need to beat Bama Friday to get in NCAA tourney and that still wouldnt be a given.

Yes, I think we should win this game by 10+. Their 1-3-1 zone is a little different so I hope we handle it well. We did the first time we played.

Let's put it this way:

I feel 50 times better. I wanted nothing to do with a Frank Martin coached ball team.

I don't see how you can't be happy about this one. How does Rick Ray have them winning a few games here at the end? Their roster has been absolutely decimated by injuries.

But yeah, I'm as confident as I can get with this team in the SEC tournament. Hopefully they come out ready to work and put them away early.

Of course it wouldn't surprise me at all if we managed to lay a gigantic egg.

*Had to even out my post a little bit. Too positive. Sparing the wrath of the basketball gods.

this was not good for us. ..a win and no one cares a loss and we deff dont get in. .a win vs usc nobody cares and a loss wouldnt tank us

Definitely agree. Win the bama game and we're in. In my opinion the winner of that game is in the tourney and the loser is looking at the NIT

Didn't see that he coached much tonight. I think he gets too much credit for recruiting a couple of draft picks to osu, illegally at that.

The scary thing about a team like mississippi state is they have NOTHING to lose, they will be so loose and sometimes you see teams shoot lights out when playing like that. If we can take control in the first 10 minutes I'll be happy, however you let them hang around into the second half and they'll be playing loose while we tighten up.

That said, take care of the ball, trae show up and we should win by double digis.

He coached at Kansas State.

He made the Elite Eight without any NBA players. He's a hothead and an *******, but he's regarded as one of the better coaches in the country.

Ms st will play that 1-3-1 hybrid type zone. If we are aggressive, we should be fine. If we walk it up and pass it around without intent and settle for a contested 3 and they stay hot, we could lose. SC defense is terrible though.

MSU is down to 6 scholarship players. Anything can happen but really no reason the Vols should not win this one. However, it is the SEC tourney and we all know our history in this thing
