Agreed about Toeina, but not the others.  They should have to sit out the first half, then do all the managers' dirty work this week and after the game.

I actually meant to add your point at the end of my post- Isn't this a great opportunity for Fulmer to make a start on announcing he's decided to metamorph himself into a disciplinarian.

Too little/Too late. The players are an extension of their coaching. Fulmer needs to stop trying to deflect the blame and be a man and take resposibility and hopefully resign, though not likely!!

Some of you guys might remember I posted something after my trip to South Bend about a player not wearing his post game suit. Out of respect I did not name him, but I might as well now; it was "Toe"

I hope everyone of those players are suspended or kicked off.

I am tired of that childish crap

What does PF keep recruiting criminals?

Over 10 arrests in the offseason... reports of Toeina spitting on a Neyland Stadium worker after the game....pl,ayers leaving their helmets on the frield after the game. Come on where is the discipline? I bet Albert plays at KY.

It seems to me that the Vols needed to hit rock bottom to find the way back.

College is about preparing for life - hopefully some of our players will learn more from this year than they would have from a 9-2 or 8-3 year. Even the ones who left their helmets on the field may realize how bad that was.

The same can be said for Fulmer and company.

I'm tired of this coaching staff, the inmates have been running the asylum since 1999- see Nebraska game.

Does Fulmer still have what it takes in the SEC. I mean he has the best athelets in the SEC, I really believe this. Why can't he "LEAD" this team better. What happend to the dicipline he used to have?

Every college has inmates.

UGA has another player arrested tonight for DUI.
USC had one a week ago.

You get up for the game because, first and foremost, you're an athlete with the individual and personal pride that no matter what happens around you, you will always show to play.

If you truly do not contain this element of pride, this inetrior drive inside, then you are not an athlete at all.

Anybody seen the movie "Heartbreak Ridge?"

If the platoon woke up wearing the wrong shirt, they ran--the entire platoon! Now if we apply that to UT, you could say if anyone slips up the entire team is punished... DUI? They all run! It's all about accountability, and that is the only way to ensure accountability. No one on the team cares about what trouble the other players are getting into. All they care about is taking care of No.1, and finding the best agent to sign with the day after their final NCAA game...

Now that's what I like. And to do this hire a few drill sergeants and drill instructors.

Anybody not man enough to pick up their helmets should not even make the trip to KY.

I like to win. I like it very much. But more than winning, I love the tradition of the Tennessee Volunteers. I would rather we lose every game and field a group of young men that play hard and take pride in wearing the Orange than to have a bunch of thugs suit up that couldn't care less about the pride associated with the opportunity to play at TN. If you recruit only talent without also recruiting the mind to go along with it, then you will reap it down the line when that mind fails to determine the responsible path to take concerning a right and wrong decision. That is unfortunately the position we find ourselves in now.

Leaving your helmet on the field is a huge disrespect to everyone who came before THIS team-group (team not exactly warranted) and worked thier backside off to get this program to the level it WAS.

Just a note. All the negativity over Toeaina overshadows the leadership shown by Mahelona after the game.

It also shows what we in the public may have never been privy to throughout the season. There appears to be a deep-seated divide amongst the players on the team. It may even take different dimensions..... offense vs defense.... Ainge vs Clausen..... in may even be drawn along off-the-field lines? This type division can kill a team. Just look at the Philadelphia Eagles.

The good thing is that each season... the team has a different chemistry. As talented as the Vols were in 1999, they never recaptured the team chemistry that led them to the national championship in 1998.

Look for alot of Arian Foster next week along with a Vols win. The Vols program has only lost 7 games in a season 1 time. That was in 1977 during Johnny Majors first season. The Vols will not lose to Kentucky.

With this season finally coming to an end.... maybe not going to a bowl is actually a good thing if the team chemistry continues to poison the program. The program is bigger than any one season. I have no doubt that the Vols will rebound and contend for a championship next season.

Forget about all the fire Fulmer talk because he isn't going anywhere. It is a fruitless discussion. As fans, we've got to play with the hand we're dealt. I choose to be positive and analyze the program from the point of where a new season and new coaches will take the Vols next season.... which will probably be 10+ wins.

I'm behind CPF, like you are. However, this poisoning you mention starts with him. Each time an institutional problem is brought it is a de facto accusation against CPF. There's no way around it. Chemistry is one thing when you are talking about championship teams versus the teams that are close but no cigar. But that isn't the same thing at 4-6. This is more of a cancer than chemistry.

Now, I for one am extremely pleased with this season. Why? Because CPF and company were so enamored with their own perceived successes that nothing but an absolute train wreck was going to create any changes. This is exactly what the doctor ordered, and I could not be happier.

Can we get back to championship contention in a year? Maybe, because the SEC East looks a little scrambled next year. The new staff should certainly help.

Doug Matthews mentioned the same type of thing that happened to Bear Bryant. We all know how that turned out. I guess we'll have to wait and see how this one tunrs out.

I'm glad to see that you knew to pull the strychnine center out of the peyote button before you consumed it. :ermm:
