Damn I am so happy I don't play this ridiculous social media game. They are playing so many people like fiddles and few even realize it. Good luck to those that play!

Where in Soddy and what is the business selling/providing? I am originally from Soddy.

It is on Industrial Park Drive and we developed a hybrid mobile light tower for the construction industry that utilizes LED lighting. Anyone looking to partner with a business in the area, please look us up.

I'm sorry but we're suppose to just vote for you to receive money based on the fact that you are a vol fan?

Very vague product description, no plan on how you will use the funds, what sort of impact you will provide to your community (jobs etc.), no projected sales or what your return on investment will be but we should help you get the money just because you cheer for the vols?

Who's to say someone who is a Boston College fan isn't more deserving to receive this grant than you are?

Thanks for the time and effort in your thorough analysis. As I stated, I need the 250 votes just to qualify for the grant, not to get it. You are more than welcome to check out our website to inquire in more detail for what we do and through the link, you can check out the details of the grant. Unfortunately, the "Vote" site only allows for so many characters in the description and I did not have enough characters left to put in our company financials, projections, or community impact (I only had two characters left in the description) The grant process is rather thorough and is sponsored by Chase. To earn your vote, I would welcome you to come visit our facility or speak to a few of our customers.

I look forward to hearing from you and I hope that you will be as willing to lend your vote to our company located in Tennessee as you will to one in Boston.

So you guys are all voting to take money from strangers to give to this stranger. Why?

I am just a small business owner out here trying for the past 3 years to get my business going. I don't know 250 people to call and ask to vote, so I come to a community that i visit everyday and ask for about 15 seconds of your time. I am sorry the world has made you so cynical, that after reading the title of my post, you chose to click, read, and then make a negative post. :hi:

I understand why you are asking for it. I didn't actually address you, but since you addressed me, I will give you my 2 cents. If you can't make your business work without government grants, you are less likely to make your business work. If your business is a good idea, others will willingly back you. It's nice to get free money, but someone has to unwillingly surrender it in order for you to get it.

I'm just asking why others would vote to forcefully take money from some to give to another when they get no benefit?

Obviously you are to focused on making completely random comments (since you didn't address me ) to ever experience starting a business. Also, its not a government grant.

Some people have a **** load of fake friends on Facebook, some have Volnation.

Leave it to the select few members here to act like taking two seconds to help a guy out is the swing vote in the presidential election.

What is the price range on one of these going to be? Also, can they be used for emergency management? Fire departments, etc.? Maybe even emergency lighting without a generator?
