What is the price range on one of these going to be? Also, can they be used for emergency management? Fire departments, etc.? Maybe even emergency lighting without a generator?
They are already on the market and are in the mid 20's (thousand). The generator is a backup power source when solar is not able to keep the batteries charged. So your point with emergency management is spot on. Superior lighting with no noise or exhaust for at least 14 hours (12 - 16 hour range on batteries).
One of our patents is for the use at ground level. Typical lighting gets as much as 1000 degrees while we are at 130 to 150 and thus safe to move and handle. Because they are solid state, they are impervious to vibration and are nearly unbreakable (I typically demonstrate by hitting them with a hammer).
