Pruitt isn’t hiring someone like Kingsbury. Kiffin will never be at UT in any capacity, ever again. Freeze will go to Auburn before UT. So if Gus makes a move, you can scratch that one off as well.

I say we make a hire before Auburn does considering they are preparing for a bowl.

But if we lose him, I'd certainly rather it be this way than some stupid situation where he was "fired" because he didn't have the #1 offense in the nation while inheriting the worst O-line in the Power 5 conferences. VN's judgement is very suspect when it comes to assistant coaches --- we heard the same crap about Bob Shoop, who now has the #8 defense in the country at Miss State.

When you coach in the SEC and you have problems like Tennessee does you have to be creative and use imagination in order to succeed. You have to think outside the box. Tennessee offense was weak which wasn't Heltons fault but not using imagination or being creative didn't help him. It bothered me to see them fail to integrate the successful plays of previous weeks into the current weeks game plan. Not finding ways to get the ball into the hands of Ty was a major failure. Jennings should have been featured more. Throws on first down definitely was lacking.
