Would LOVE Kiffin but that is just not happening, even though Pruitt has worked with him.

Sad that Helton is gone in some ways - really really need this recruiting cycle to go well and continuity would have helped. I think once we have an Oline, Helton could have done some good here. But note, if he were "so bad", he wouldnt be getting called up to an HC - unlike our last HC who is now an INTERN.

I would take Kiffin, dude is an offensive Genius. But, hopefully our next higher will field a decent offense this coming year.

There’s no room for morals when we play Alabama every year.
Yeah having a guy that frequents prostitutes on a campus filled with co eds is a great idea. Just we are clear, going to whores and paying players is fine but maybe knowing something 3rd hand about some guy at penn state not fine.....

yeah, kiffin left being a coordinator at Alabama to step down to his dream of being a coordinator at Tennessee. Makes sense...o_O
Kiffin didn't leave Alabama on his own terms.
That said, he ain't coming here as long as Fulmer is AD.

In spite of the idiocy here, it's a bad break to lose him.

But if we lose him, I'd certainly rather it be this way than some stupid situation where he was "fired" because he didn't have the #1 offense in the nation while inheriting the worst O-line in the Power 5 conferences. VN's judgement is very suspect when it comes to assistant coaches --- we heard the same crap about Bob Shoop, who now has the #8 defense in the country at Miss State.

Congrats to Tyson Helton. Well deserved!
God forbid someone not agree with you

That's why I just cant imagine anyone wanting to fire Helton, or being so excited about him leaving after just 1 season.

All I've heard this season is "but but but our talent" and some don't see the discrepancy with this? And knowing our past in hiring and firing?

The good news with all of this, is none of these geniuses actually make any decisions.

Yes, but some are old enough to drive and vote. That scares the hell out of me.....

He's not gonna hire Freeze, and no one should want him to. Unless you really think it would be cool to see two coaches throw hands on our sideline.

I don’t think Helton being gone hurts our recruiting. The WRs and RBs we targeted are pretty much set in stone no matter the OC. Our OL coach is staying the same so that didn’t hurt our OL targets. So we should be in good shape.

Heck if we get a well respected OC hire it might even help this year in recruiting.

Hugh freeze Hugh freeze hugh freeze
I'd love to see Hugh Freeze, but the question is if UT Admin would hire someone who involved in a scandal.

I know Hugh has repented, admited his mistake, and asked for everyone's forgiveness; but is it enough for the Tennessee Administration to overlook the past and offer him the job?

With what he had to work with, he did as well as could be expected. It's hard to run or pass when the Defensive Line is in the backfield as fast as the ball is.
