Thanks to Hendon for being a part of Vol Nation. I hope he completely recovers and gets his shot in the NFL. He's as good as any I've seen play here.

He'll get an ACL reconstruction using his own tendon from elsewhere in his knee. Doesn't matter if its partially torn or completely ruptured. Not going to be repaired.

So a reconstruction would possibly have better prognosis than a traditional repair?

Won't have him for Vandy or a bowl game.

Won't be able to prep for or go through any of the draft process given the timing.

Hate it for Hooker. He helped revived this program and will always have a place on Vol history.

We need to somehow show him how much he means to us. He could've went pro last year but stayed and this is how it ends for him is heartbreaking.

I am a professor at another school in TN and I teach kids on the football team. You get to know them and you love them. This has made my weekend so much worse. People suck.

I know this loss hurts, but I care about this kid and remember what happened with Tony Robinson.

Hooker is a young man who has done a lot to rebuild this program and given VOL fans some incredible memories and I hope he will have a big future ahead.

Question for the resident medical professionals and folks with 1st hand experience with ACL tears; is an ACL tear something that you can feel coming ? I wonder if he's had some irritation with that knee the past couple months or if those things just pop with no warning?

No he played most the season and frankly he needs to take care of himself if he can make it in NFL. I am not sure if injury messed his career up or not. I hope it didn't.

We'll get a preview of what Milton can do. He was going to be the guy at the top got the QB job next season this will be his chance to see if he is up to the job or does Heupel need to look for someone else at the end of the season.

That’s cool. Got to love the advances in modern sports medicine.

Being that the rate of successful repair was under 50% and they opened your knee up down both sides back when I shredded mine, I was a no go on the trying to fix it and haven’t had a left ACL in decades.

It truly is remarkable how far ACL surgery has come.

He’s gone for the year more than likely. I hate it for him he has brought so much positive attention to the program and engineered some big wins and brought us back to being relevant and seems like a great kid. He will always be a UT football legend in my eyes for the wins over Florida and Bama.

And he did it with class!
