holtz said we wont win against LSU....god i want to throw em out the window with the BCS computer and piss on em both

LSU is about 10 times better than South Carolina. We'll have to play much better next weekend. It won't help if Ainge's mobillity is limited by a sore ankle. LSU is going to be getting some pressure.

But........he picked South Carolina to win tonight in an upset.
I know, that's why I said I changed my mind from this morning! I was making a little joke (I know, very little!) But I didn't have a problem with him picking SC, he gave good reasons (see above) - I only have problems with "analysts" who are buffoons (Corso, Holtz, etc.) and are just there for show without bringing any true analysis to the show.

If the Florida team that showed up at Auburn and Jacksonville shows up against USC, USC can beat them.

Florida is much better, South Carolina is worse. And Florida has a running game.
Did you see any of the Fl/Ga game today? How many rushing yards did the Gators RBs have? I think we surely have to hang our hats on the fact that we had to fight our butts off to beat the Cocks, therefore the Cocks have a definite chance to beat the Gators........ To answer my own question, the Gator running game was non existent...

Probably. I think Meyer has done a generally decent job of getting his team to show up. Not perfect, but decent.

Forget Georgia's performances this year. We all know Richt has kept the cabinet loaded his whole time at Georgia, and they just haven't played up this whole season. We all still know they're talented as they come. I'd bet a Georgia team putting out 110% could beat most teams in the country.

What mobility does Ainge have LOL?
Ainge has proven a lot more mobile than people give him credit for. Chasing down the DB and making the tackle, like OWB said, was impressive. And earlier this season when the pass protection sucked, he was throwing pretty well on the run.

this is good news hopefully we beat LSU and ARK. maybe a possibility if A NT game:rock:
He also said that we would lose to USC. His argument was that it is to hard to go on the road at night in the SEC and win. Which we did against GA. Must not be to hard if we play like crap and do it.

I wouldn't mind having another shot at Florida....But we get no take backs...Guys the more I've thought about it, I'd rather not have to play in the SECCG in case we DID lose, not saying we would because I most definitely think we could play and beat whoever we faced out of the West.....I'm not saying I wouldn't want UT to go to it, I'm saying we may be better off.....Which ever team loses that game won't go to a BCS bowl because it's not going to want to take a team that's got a loss this late in the year.....IF we win out and don't go to the SECCG that may be our best chance to make it to a BCS bowl game and even a NT game

I think Herbstreet said we could get a good BCS game.....i think as of right now barring a Spurrier Miracle (and considering he does everything in his power to screw TN i doubt it)....we're not gunna make the NC game......Our best hope right now is jumping ahead of the Auburn/Fla loser in the SECCG and getting a good bowl game

they have to lose 2 sec games

They still have Tennessee and LSU on the schedule, two teams that I believe are better than they are. Even though both games are at home, both are very loosable for the pigs.

Of course, Auburn still has to beat UGa and Bama. The west could get pretty messy by the time it is all said and done.

I think FL, AUB, and TN are all pretty close. From game to game, they could beat each other.

With that said, I think FL is the most well rounded team with the best defense of the three.
Agree 100%
Florida or Auburn have to lose another game. Cal will lose at SC. Notre Dame will lose at SC. Texas and SC will not lose again.
yep...people got to remember...if Auburn wins out...and doesn't go to the SEC CG...they will still be ranked ahead of us, even if we win out, in the BCS....we really need Aub to lose if all we're worried about is getting an at large bid.

and you're right about TX. TT was the last best shot, at least in the reg. season. SC...can't see them losing again now.

Our best bet is:

We win out.
Arky loses to us and LSU
Aub loses to Bama
UF loses to Arky in SECCG

We are left at 11-1 and the only 1 loss team in the SEC.

what are the chances for gameday in knoxville for TENN-LSU

A quick look through next week's schedule shows 4 games between ranked opponents:

LSU @ UT
Missouri @ Nebraska
Oklahoma @ A&M
BC @ Wake (ESPN2)

Other games of interest are:

Maryland @ Clemson (ESPN2)
Penn St @ Wisconsin
Virginia @ FSU
Washington @ Oregon
Oklahoma St @ Texas
Ga Tech @ NC ST
Arkansas @ So Carolina (ESPN)
UCLA @ Cal (ABC)
and, in the "used-to-be-important" game,
Va Tech @ Miami (ABC)

The UT/LSU game is the best game next week, but that doesn't seem to be the deciding factor this year, and there are a lot of other decent games in which ESPN/ABC has an interest.

at this point, i don't care who wins the SEC...so long as we win out, and Auburn loses one more game somewhere and doesn't go to the SEC CG.

but if had my druthers....i'd go with what you said in a heartbeat.

How likely is any SEC team to get an at large BCS bid? There are 3 openings and ND has pretty much sewed one up. If Boise State finishes in the top 12 , I think the BCS system has to give them one. And I suspect the loser of the Game of the Decade (OSU vs. Michigan) will get the 3rd one unless someone really gets beat badly.

I think it is a moot point. LSU will beat Arkansas, and UT should beat Arkansas. I think if UT wins out, Florida and Auburn will play for the SEC championship game giving one of those teams two losses allowing UT to get an at large bid. For all of the ESPN haters I have to say Ut appears to be one of the media darlings this season.

I also have the opinion that Florida's offense will struggle mightily with the Gamecocks. If SC does not turn the ball over, that will be a closer game than people think.

I'd rather Auburn make the SEC CG and either take a second loss, or give Florida a second loss, than for us both to be sitting at home 11-1 that weekend, with only one of us going into the BCS.

it would actually work out better for us if Auburn just loses and not go to the SEC CG. but in merit, you're right...if Auburn wins out..they go ahead of us.
