He simply states the VOLS have the edge in a head to head matchup because of Hendon Hooker.


It seems Herbstreit is giving some respect this week.
I know it won't last, but I think he is correct.
If we continue to protect HH, the ceiling for this team is the Playoffs and a Natty.
If UGA or another team can mount a very effective pass rush against us, it brings us down a level.

ESPN as a whole was pretty positive about us all off-season and it has continued in season. They aren't ever going to be homers like Kesling and Company. Some folks have unreasonable expectations.

Absolutely zero emotion by Bob and Pat. I think Bob retires from calling football games following the season and Pat retires completely. I could see Jeff being with the next Tennessee play by play guy. I think Bob will be strictly Tennessee basketball starting Fall 2023.

I’ve never understood the obsession with the opinions of stupid announcers and sports media.

Football games are won on the field not by some outsiders opinion.

Who really gives a d$mn about Kirk herbstreits opinion. His opinion has no bearing on us winning or losing football games. I hope he picks against us every game. It’s easier to motivate a good team when they are the perennial underdog.

I’ve played and coached football. I always liked the role as the underdog. Us against the world.

The Vols are 7-0 and about to whoop Kentucky’s a$$ to get to 8-0. Enjoy the ride and stop worrying about an idiot announcer.

They mean nothing. I also am not sure why people care and why they get offended because their team is “slighted”. I agree about the underdog role. I knew last basketball season when the talking heads were picking up for final 4 that it was bad news.
