Here comes Mizzou

I hope it happens. Access to St Louis, among other areas, which TN needs as we have to recruit nationally. I don't recall many players from missouri.
And let's not talk about the Univ of Missouri not having any good football players. Maclin put up nasty numbers for me this weekend and they have more receivers in the NFL right now than UT.

I like it too. Much better than WVU, Louisville or the ECU's of the world. IMO

Do not like.

I'd rather try and make it work with 13 teams before we add them

I lived up there for a year. In Columbia, just down the street from MU. (That is what they call it -- not UM.) It's a horrible fit, culturally speaking. But obviously adding TV markets in St. Louis and KC is WAY more important.

won't happen
PAC-16
BIG sixTEeN
SEC=16
MntWest+cUSA=16
ACC
Big Least
The Rest = 2 more conferences (MAC, Sunbelt, Independents, etc)

4+ team sub-divisions
8+ Team Divisions
Winner of sub divisions play to see who goes to Conference Championship Game.

Championship winners are your Rose, Sugar, Orange, Fiesta

Semi Final and Final after the bowls would complete the new NCAA Football Tourney.

Possible translations:

A) we really want to see what Texas does here (WE don't want to be the ones who are blamed for the final nail in the big 12 coffin)

B) we want to see if we get a big 10 bid

Of course there's also the chance this is just someone jumping the gun like the "WVU submits application to the SEC"

So there's an unsubstantiated rumor that the SEC may have been talking to Missouri. That hardly = Missouri is now in the SEC.

If that link is to be believed, it says the SEC has already failed once.

What if the Big 10 comes calling, too?

We need another Florida school in the conference to neutralize UF's ridiculous recruiting advantage.

We already have 4-5 other schools recruiting the state plus 2 non-conference schools with recruiting based in it

The only way their recruiting is going to go down is when they start performing worse

the Big 10 won't budge. The only way they do is if ND is in play

Which means we should hope the big east stays together for a few more years (or at least until we finalize whatever moves we want to make)

Unless we want TCU, then having the Big East die right now would possibly benefit us.

Not terribly that sold on tcu

But even that aside, (same scenario as i mentioned) they could be added later if the big east fell apart in a few years

...you also just don't want the big 10 to wake up and start making moves (unless someone's a person who just really, really want west Virginia)
