Here is why the offense was terrible.

Some of the schemes we didn't adjust well to. There's plenty of blame. Coaches certainly could have helped, but we got whipped physically. Like bad. Add in all the previous snap penalties, a rattled Hooker and a beat down on both lines.

Coaching staff isn't blameless, but it was a group effort. They were the better team.

This is all on Heupel. He knew this UGA defense would be aggressive and didn’t scheme in any plan to make them pay. Here are three successive screen shots. The tailback is doing nothing. He’s blocking, but he’s not in any route for an escape valve. If they had the TB scrape off to the right, look at the amount of green grass. It’s absurd. Never, not once, was UGA made to pay for their over aggressive play. This should have been schemed into the game plan.

Oh FFS, shuuuut up Couch Coach.

He will be ready round 2 and there will be one.

False starts crushed us… it messed up tempo and put us behind the sticks at terrible times…

There are three things that could us and false starts was definitely one. The other was Hooker refusing to throw the ball away and taking huge sacks for losses that we could over come and him not being able to connect deep all day. Those three things cost us multiple drives.

You haven't illustrated your point with these confusing photos.

So what did Ainge say that has everyone on his butt?

Playing between the hedges is overrated. Not that loud and definitely not intimidating. It’s nothing like playing in Neyland. Vols will be just fine in Athens!

He was wrong and owned it after the game. Something a lot of posters on here are never willing to do.

Personally thought the whole thing was stupid. What was he supposed to say...Sanford is the greatest and loudest stadium in history and the Vols don't stand a chance ?

False starts and Hooker holding the ball & 3 overthrows that were TDs. Tough loss, move on!

Thanks coach.

I tend to agree with the OP but not because of the photos lol. We had no rb dump off option. We didn't seem to counter their defense with anything different. With all the offsides and bad pass protection, O line laid an egg. On another note stetson Bennett needs to really enjoy these last few games of his football games. His career won't last long after college

This offense was not truly ready to play on the road. 4 times outta 10 on a neutral field, especially on turf, in a done, we win this game. Close but won. I knew one team would fold under the big moment, unfortunately we are the guys that haven't been there before...

I think this season still has a lot to teach.

I didn’t expect to win the game. I didn’t expect us to look this bad. Very simple schematic things that were blatantly obvious to anyone with any football acumen.
So have these very simple Schematic things been bad all year? How is it this is the first time we have been held to less than 400 yards of offense. LOtM unite!!!!

Dear goodness. Take a look at how many Georgia OL and DL get drafted in the 1st or 2nd round every year. That’s why Smart is a good coach. You dominate the point of attack, you control everything.

I'm just heartbroken.

The good thing is that we still have a solid chance to make it into the playoffs for at least a run at the National Championship.

All of our coaches and players WILL get better after they go over this game film a few times and have better, more solid adjustments ready for the next time these things happen to us

Hooker was off today for some reason and we all know he overthrew at least 2 passes that would have been a certain TD but everyone has a off day sometimes, it's just sad that it was today.

Our linemen on both sides of the ball were just outplayed and we made too many mistakes for a penalty and those hurt us badly.

Their pass coverage was just excellent but it's just more proof of what can happen when you can recruit, and get, so many 4* and 5* players for several years in a row,

When a coach, like Smart and Satan, have the time to build a roster full of some of the best players in the country then you end up with a roster loaded with a 2 and 3 deep with hardly any dropoff in player production when you sub or if someone gets hurt.

I was also surprised that Hooker didn't have a TE or a RB make a quick block and then slide out into the flats to give us a safety valve to pass to so we could at least try to make a few yards rather than to take a sack but that may not have worked the way the UGa D was getting to us so fast.

I'm really proud of our coaches and players because nobody saw us doing this well in such a short period of time.

Remember, most here on VN predicted that we would only get 8 WINS this season and 9 if we were very lucky so we're still way ahead of things.

This was a tough game and some, like me, are heartbroken but remember, we can still end up 11-1 and make it to the playoffs so this season is still far from over.

VFL...GBO!!!

The offense failed because Georgia was able to stop the run game without packing the box. That is the secret sauce of our offense

That was one huge factor, and the other IMO was the lack of a hot read when it was clear pressure was coming. Hooker's short drops are part of the offense, but it requires him getting the ball out, and way too often the pressure got there first. A hot read underneath or in the flat may have forced Georgia to adjust.

And let's not forget that there are 4 and 5 star players on the other side, many of whom will be playing on Sunday. Give Heupel 2-3 years to build the depth here, and the days of being outmanned like today will be ancient history.

If you think about it this is the first time we've really been punched in the mouth and down by three scores all season, and hopefully it is a learning experience not only for the players but CJH as well.

He could have just not said anything. But that said I don't think this "bulletin board" material has much meaning once the pads start hitting. They had a plan and executed it. Tennessee constantly put themselves in bad down-and-distance which exacerbated the problem. Team will get better by this experience.

If Hooker don’t overthrow Hyatt and Bru for TD’s it’s a different game. There was 3 plays that was the difference in that game.
1.75 yard punt by UGA downed at the goal line.
2. over throw an open hyatt for TD
3. Over thrown an Open Bru for TD
And Bennett made three long passes that laid right in there. Game

Says the guy setting home watching tv.
Sure thing buddy.
To bad Oregon didn’t scheme up anything either or Saban didn’t in the championship last year.
Lucky old Kirby, nobody has an answer for his genius.
🤣🤣🤣😂just wait till he gets some talent, they’ll never lose another game
