I don't think Jim Harbaugh will stay as Michigan head coach and keep losing to Ohio State that's an unforgivable sin to hardcore Wolverine backers. It wouldn't shock me if he were cut loose after Urban Meyer cleans his clock in Columbus to end the 2018 season.

I just can’t think Michigan would fire him, at least publicly. There might be a mutual go our separate ways kind of thing. They have so much money invested in him I don’t think they want the embarrassment. Plus, who are you going to get that will be better? Harbaugh has proven he can win anywhere, he’s just not living up to expectations.

I could see the quietly buying off his contract;) Michigan would probably hire a NFL retread, rising NFL assistant or maybe David Shaw of Stanford to replace Jim Harbaugh.

Harbaugh is their Gruden. I honestly don't know where they would go if he doesn't work out.

I think Tom Herman could very well get canned if Texas goes 7-5 again. The big money Alumni of Texas wont put up with that.
They’d owe him $15 million if he’s fired after this season. They’ve certainly got money, but not even Texas is shelling out that type of cash.

I think some Texas millionaire or millionaires would be willing to pony up the cash to buy ouy Tom Herman's contract should Texas go 7-5 or worse in 2018

I think the biggest question marks with what will be this season’s coaching carousel is who is available and are you going to actually upgrade who you you’re replacing . Or are you just falling into the category that “well we gave him 3 years and he didn’t meet expectations, let’s move on.” I think that’s not the way to be successful.

Also, what big names will be out there? Why replace Harbaugh with an up and coming coordinator? This years available elite coaches seems pretty lean compared to the last few. Just my take. Watch something crazy happen and take everyone by surprise like it always does.

I could see Texas if they dumped Tom Herman going after VT's Justin Fuente,UW's Chris Peterson or maybe even try to throw the bank at OSU's Urban Meyer. I think David Shaw of Stanford would be a good replacement for Jim Harbaugh at Michigan and NFL assistants are higher on the totem pole than college football head coaches in my opinion.

I don’t know if Michigan would go after Shaw because he’s part of the Harbaugh coaching tree. The maize and blue are in a very tough spot right now. I could see Urban relocating after this whole mess. Fuente could be very high on some lists. I think Peterson is in a good spot and isn’t anxious for change. Plus he’s set at Qb for the foreseeable future with Eason.

Fickell at Cinci and Sumlin at Arizona are still way too high. both have wins, and Fickell was an upset. Sumlin in his first year.
