Herman Cain

Cain has my vote.
I like Cain, but I can't imagine enough people taking him seriously to win a general election and his handling of this crisis has been a slow motion train wreck.

I'm still shopping.

9-9-9 is the best plan i've seen

To me its not his possible sexual harassment/assault or even the lying, he's a politician of course he's gonna have this kind of baggage. Its the fact that when he is asked difficult questions or point out potential flaws in his plans, even before this mess, it's almost as if he takes personal offense. The fact that he has 0 political experience is why the last 10 days has been an all out dumpster fire for him.

Easily the dumbest thing you've ever said.

It's politics, dude. Stop huffing spraypaint.

This IS the most stupid thing you could say.

The biggest problem we have as that we have cynically accepted that its "politics" rather than demanding character and honesty from our leaders.

If Cain is guilty... even of propositioning one or more of these women... it is very unlikely I will vote for him.

People like you complain about gov't corruption then excuse immoral and unethical behavior as "politics"... when of course "your side" is revealed to be hypocritical and something less than morally superior.

4 different women?

Let's see Bush, McCain, Obama, Kerry, etc all managed to run for President without people coming forward accusing them of sexual harassment.......

Bialeck's credibility is shot. Very surprised that Allred marched out there with her. She held 8 or 9 jobs over 17 years and declared bankruptcy twice. She filed, and lost, a paternity case against a man at another company. She was described by someone who knows her as a "gold digger".

Now accuser number two has an AP story that says she made up a frivilous S/H claim when she didn't get to work from home at her next employer. She complained over a fairly innocuous joke... and get this... She solicited a coworker to become a witness as she tried to bait a manager into saying something that could be construed as S/H. This indicates she may well be someone who would complain over nothing more than having Cain compare her height to his wife's. I admit that I thought that it was an incredible assertion by Cain that that was the most serious charge according to NRA. Now... that claim looks credible considering the next case she filed.

She and the other "accuser" agreed to leave the company for basically what a company would give to someone as severance after being fired for cause. Since that is probably an amount LESS than lawyer's fees required to defend the case... there is a GREAT chance that the charges were going to be laughed out of court.

I am still waiting. I don't like that he may have propositioned women who weren't his wife. That goes to his integrity. However, every actual detail that has come up concerning the supposed harassment is either very questionable or much ado about nothing.

I am just curious, how do you feel about the Kobe Bryant rape case?

Thats the odd part. Out of 4 you would think one or two would have pressed charges at the time. Not saying it didn't happen once or all four times, but this makes it odd.

I think he is lying because he has DEFINITELY, and this is not debatable, lied from the getgo about what he remembers of how the allegations and settlement were handled.

.

Yes. IT is very much debatable unless you are talking about your determination to believe the worst.

What is not debatable is your hypocrisy.

The charges vs Clinton were not really even in dispute. Some of the women had credibility problems... some did not. One woman WITH CREDIBILITY accused him of sexually assaulting her.

Yet that is OK, right?

But now... Cain has been accused and it MUST be true according to you.

Before you even start your idiocy that I am turning a blind eye... I am still waiting to see if something credible comes out. So far, it has not. If there is a credible accusation by a credible woman that he even propositioned or else had a relationship with them... I can't see voting for him.

You must be one whale of a lawyer if you assume that accusations or disjointed responses amount to proof of guilt... especially when serious holes exist in the credibility of the accusers and there are no corroborating witnesses. And you know... don't you? You know that if the NRA charges were anything serious that there is absolutely no way they agree to a sum less than $100k.

This is killing you, isn't it? You so much want rid of Cain... and you feel this thing maybe slipping away. First the charges were anonymous. Now the accusers' credibility is falling apart.

I am going to go just a short way out on a limb and say there is a better than 90% chance that Bialeck's claims are a publicity stunt. She has been described as a gold digger... and now she can sell interviews.

The others may have happened. The most serious to me is the one made by the woman who did nothing... though that would also call into question a SH allegation. She said he asked her back to his apartment. It is serious not because that amounts to SH but because it blows a big hole in his character.

Accuser #2 has now demonstrated that she will make frivolous accusations for personal gain.

Somewhat divided. He did something incredibly stupid.

Is it possible he forced her? Maybe. But my best guess now and at the time is that she either led him on then changed her mind/regretted it afterwards... or she baited him specifically so she could extort money.

I don't have a lot of respect for him... but I didn't find her all that credible.

LG is supposed to be a lawyer, yet he, among others, are already declaring Cain guilty before any facts are known (especially in regard to the NRA settlement). The Bialek issue doesn't even fit the legal description of harassment.

So far, none of it does. Accuser #2 all but certainly did not have a case that would have even gotten to court. My guess is the NRA gave her severance in return for an agreement to not cause them PR headaches.

Look. Imo, he was referring to you using that big ol partisan paint brush that I'm getting tired of.

I don't think pointing that out was stupid.

Each of the accusers was asking him for some sort of job-related assistance, whether it be a new job or a promotion, and the claim is that he used his power over them to seek sexual favors. They are all similar in appearance.

He did it.

Its over.

WASHINGTON (AP) -- A woman who settled a sexual harassment complaint against GOP presidential candidate Herman Cain in 1999 complained three years later at her next job about unfair treatment, saying she should be allowed to work from home after a serious car accident and accusing a manager of circulating a sexually charged email, The Associated Press has learned.

I see a pattern here

What's your theory as to why none of them filed charges or pushed beyond a severance psckage?
