Tommy Frazier

But way above them are three fellas named
Walker
Jackson
Tebow

and a couple fellas named George Webster and Charles Bubba Smith

Edit: and dont forget that there was a dude named Jim Brown that says he was better than all of them combined on his worst day.

Must add Cam Newton, since he was actually better.

Jim Brown played against defensive linemen smaller than Herschel Walker.

Tebow >>> Bo Jackson. Bo took himself out of games at Auburn and his teams never sniffed a national title. Tebow had to be unconscious...literally...not to finish a game, won a Heisman, was a finalist twice and won two national titles.

Tommie Frazier was a freak of nature...easily the best option QB I've ever seen. You knew he couldn't pass worth a damn, but it didn't matter because NU ran it down your throat until you just flat gave up.

Must add Cam Newton, since he was actually better.

You could argue Cam Newton's Heisman season was better than Tebow's best season, but to suggest Newton was a better college football player is nonsense, especially when you consider Newton competed directly against Tebow every day in practice for two years and couldn't beat him out.

If we're talking about all-time greats, you need to bring it for more than just one season.

I think that's because he wasn't focused just on football.

He was too concerned about his Computer and Marketing classes. Cam was doing a joint project titled: "The Marketability of Previously Owned Laptops."

There's more truth to that than you know.

Cam knew he wasn't sniffing the field at UF as long as Tebow stayed healthy, so he acted a fool off the field.

It took a change of scenery for him to get his head straight and realize his potential. But even at his best in '07 and '08, he couldn't come close to beating out Tebow.

Couldn't hold his jock strap? Laughable. Wouldn't I'd say.

For anyone wanting to educate themselves on comparing quantity vs quality concerning sec rushing, here are some numbers which don't compare jockstraps. Compares all kinds of variables including games against top 25, games with 20 or more rushes, Jackson had the fewest. Number of tds per rush, etc
Critical statistic... Bo had 300 less rushing attempts, but only 800 fewer total yds.. Walkers 5.1 against Bo's 6.4 times 300 more carries would give him 1800 more which pulverizes the career rushing record. Walker had 33 games of at least 20 carries and McFadden had 21 games, compared to Bo JacksonÂ’s 12 games.

Bo Jackson Or Herschel Walker

Bo's quantity was limited by the number of times he took himself out of games after getting punched in the mouth by UF and Bama's defense.

Average yds per carry is conveniently left out... Bo stomps his ass all the way around

One of the most explosive backs ever to never get notoriety because he couldn't stay clean...or in school...
Lenny Patrick at Bama...late 70's out of Walker County HS in Jasper...he wrote the book on afterburners and how to use them on the corners. Walker high used to pack in 25,000 fans on Friday nights just to watch him run.

Anybody besides me see Bo Jackson, Herschel Walker & Willie Gault competing against each other at Tom Black Track??

I've lost several brain cells since then and don't remember details.

I caught just a few minutes of this last night.

Dude still does hundreds of sit ups and push ups a day. I thought they said he can run a 4.4 40?

He's approaching 50 years old.

And you conveniently left out Bo sitting out games against the likes of UF, UT and Bama. On several occasions he pussed out against elite defenses....kinda explains that higher YPC nonsense.

Your yards per carry average should be higher if a yeast infection keeps you from playing top competition.

wow, that sounds a bit irritating and a bit too personal.

I think that falls under the category of TMI.

I remember when Herschel came in the game against UT.
OK, I only remember some of it.

I think BO did better in Baseball in his trips to UT.

They were both very talented guys.

Both were elite athletes, the likes of which we haven't seen in CFB since. I think Bo was a better athlete, and Herschel was a better football player.
