I am glad I have hung in there for the past 20+ years, I am proud of this team, but hindsight being 20/20, I am proud that the fans stood up and said enough! No one knew CJH could put this together so fast, and I am praising the rest of the coaching staff for buying into his vision. Damit! It's great to be Tennessee Vol!

I love that he said our defense will be as exciting as our offense.

Man, our defense is much improved, and #1 in the SEC in turnovers, but I don't think we have even scratched the surface of how nasty we will be once we get some more dudes in here.

Our defense thus far has been defined by intense pressure, and it is working.

I remember Heup exuding confidence, not cockiness, in his OU playing days. And you could tell he had fun, and didn’t get tight in big games. Reminded me a little of our Tee Martin, although Tee had more physical ability.

Glad to see 20+ years later Heup is still having fun. We should all be so lucky!

Heupel and Saban preach the same message. "Worry about yourself, do your job, and don't worry about the rest." Only Heupel isn't a ****, and enjoys the moment. Saban doesn't ever seem to "enjoy" anything except perfection, which is rarely if ever attainable. Heupel allows himself and his players to admit they have things to work on, while still celebrating what they've built together. Thats huge, and not many coaches can do that well.
Very true. So many think that they can’t enjoy the ride. They can only enjoy it if the meet all their goals. We’re seeing a change in baseball as well. Enjoy it. If all you do is work hard and never celebrate your accomplishments, you’ll loose interest in a hurry.
Work hard, play hard, celebrate, repeat.

I wanted us to be ranked lower, so we go to Athens with a chip on our shoulders. Just want the team to be focused on Uga, not celebrate the no1 ranking (until after we beat uga)

Na. I want UGA to go into the game having doubts. Now they do…

If we let the ranking get to us, then we don’t deserve to be #1. This is a good test to see how we handle it.
