Heupel to Auburn...This might be the dumbest post I've seen.

Aren’t they still paying Malzahn? So now they’re paying Harsin to go away as well with another massive buyout. I can’t imagine they could afford Heupel anyway, even if this was legit.

Why in the world would he go to Auburn and start a rebuild just when he has us playing good, money is a not a concern we can match any offer so what's the draw? Don't see it.
Not to mention yes the team got the win against Bama but if Neyland doesn't show out. Some of those penalties for false starts don't happen and we probably lose. No way with exact same players and circumstance but replace the home stadium Neyland with Jordan-Hare and Vol fans for Auburn fans do they get as many crowd involved penalties. No way Heupel would look at Auburn job as any type of improvement.

Auburn appears to be in a similar situation that we just came out of. They need to focus on the Athletic Dept. and booster situation first. Until that's resolved, the list of quality coached willing to consider the Auburn job will be mighty short.

The schadenfreude we got from our SEC foes makes me never have any sympathy for any of them struggling too. They all deserve terrible teams wandering in the wilderness.

He's definitely reached his ceiling in Tennessee. Pretty hard to go above number 1.

Tom Herman would be a home run hire for them in my opinion. Texas didn’t give him a fair shake and I thought he had that program going the right direction.

Boosters got too involved there.

What drives me crazy is people act like Heupel is always blessed with generational talent at QB. Maybe Heupel is just insane at coaching up QBs. Hooker is not a generational talent, he was benched on a terrible VT team. How has Dillon Gabriel looked since Heupel isn’t coaching him? How did Drew Lock look after Heupel made him a first rounder? Landry Jones, Sam Bradford in the pros?

Heup gets the max talent out of his QBs. Nico will likely be the first real generational talent he’s truly worked with.

Talk about delusional.

Josh Heupel

Short version:

"My personal choice to take on this daunting task is Josh Heupel. I know all of you can google his biography. Here are a few points to help me come to my conclusion

All American QB, National Champion at Okahoma No doubt he has the ability to coach up QB's.
28-8 record at Central Florida- 13 and 0 run with bowl win over Auburn
7-6 1st yr at Tennessee
Had Alabama down badly and made Saban's defense look lost.
Has Tennessee poised to make the college football playoff. Yes, I believe they beat Ga Saturday.
43-14 .754 % Overall Record
He's young 44, married with 2 young children. What better place to raise a family than Auburn?

Could Auburn reel him in? I know Tennessee will extend him an offer he can't refuse to keep him.

However, in my humble opinion, if you are having a conversation with names like Kiffen, Mark Stoops, Hugh Freeze, Deion Sanders, then for all the reasons above, you at least need to give Heupel a strong look."

Why are they not talking about Pruit? Dooley? Jones? all very "cough" good candidates.

Heupel is not going to Auburn. That is one of the worse coaching positions in the SEC. They even fired one coach after a perfect season./

Auburn is about to get rejected ten times and then hire Chip Kelly.

u-g-l-y job situation with a bunch of rooster boosters

Does Auburn not know who the AD is at Tennessee? If they had hired Danny White this might have been a valid conversation. Instead they hired a no name.

Can't see CJH - with all he's achieved up to this point - making Cow College his next step.
