Reasonably interesting view and probably right on a large percentage of it.
Wonder how many nutritionists are in the hip pockets of food industry.

White flour is fortified with vitamins that developing countries, especially those where rice is a staple, are fervently trying to get their populations to ingest. These vitamins have eradicated many diseases that used to be simple facts of life in America. Railing against fortified and genetically modified foods simply because they are fortified and/or genetically modified is ignorant, in my opinion. What is next? Are individuals going to stop using iodized salt?
Moving away from fortified and modified food sources should only be a move made by those individuals who already have a very well rounded diet and take in all the other vitamins they need through a vast array of (not just any "favorite") green vegetables. Championing this cause to individuals who already have poor dietary habits, thus removing some of the only sources of vitamins that keep them from coming down with serious diseases, poses a threat to the health of the entire society.
every food company has many nutritionist..
there's pending package changes that will put key nutrionitional information on the front panel of every product, ie fat content, sodium, calories
there will be no more hiding it on the back or side of the package
I also read somewhere (some time ago, too) that artificial sweetner has the potential to throw your metabolism out of whack because your body thinks it's sugar, tries to process it, and yields no carbs to convert to glycogen. Then, when you get real simple sugars, the body is not as efficient when processing the carbs to glycogen or something.
No link, and that's from my foggy recollection of an article I read years ago. Also, I'm no nutritionist. So, it could be total crap, which it probably is.![]()
