I also read somewhere (some time ago, too) that artificial sweetner has the potential to throw your metabolism out of whack because your body thinks it's sugar, tries to process it, and yields no carbs to convert to glycogen. Then, when you get real simple sugars, the body is not as efficient when processing the carbs to glycogen or something.
No link, and that's from my foggy recollection of an article I read years ago. Also, I'm no nutritionist. So, it could be total crap, which it probably is.![]()
This is basically the case. In many ways, regular soda is actually healthier than diet.
