I don't know. I have zero history of addiction. All I can figure is they have to be careful not to harm the new liver.

Sorry I late to this party, but I am glad you found a donor liver. Most pain meds are processed through the liver and they don't want to take any chances.

I had a client who had a transplant over 20 years ago ( a drug that is no longer on the market killed his liver) and he is still going strong. Modern medicine does wonders!

New year almost upon us. I hope 2018 is better than 2017.

Spent Christmas surrounded by family. My four year old great-nephew wore me out. Of course, it doesn't take much to wear me out.

Went out with friends last night to hear some music. First real outing since the surgery. Worn out and sore when I got home, but worth it. Had a good time.
