Credit to you for having the guts to do that and share it on here, but it's just not a good idea to try to change up Rocky Top. Your version doesn't work at all. Also, you misspelled Sweet as Swwet.

Im a traditionalist to the T. OwhitealwaRocky Top original version always. Prbably wanna chge the Volunteers name next. Im not correcting anything anymore when computer flakes out for whatever reason.

It’s good for what you were going for. If you play it at mid-to-late set in TN it will have a more positive reaction than what you are getting here.

Bear in mind the folks on this board generally dislike anything that breaks from tradition. See uni threads or even debating the “woo” in Rocky Top.

Back in '72, Dane (I believe it was), the Bryant's son, wanted to try and put out a Credence Clearwater style release of Rocky Top. He asked me and my band to come up to his studio in Hendersonville and work on some cuts.

Well, long story short, we tried our best but everyone agreed that there was no altered version of Rocky Top that would ever touch the original.

Still ain't.
