Hey, what happened?

Huh!? That's not it at all. I'm not taking credit away from anybody. An SEC win is an SEC win. But we lost to VANDY for crying out loud!! Forgive me if I advance the argument that we were a trainwreck at times last year.

Vandy was decent last year. We almost lost to them, too. I take nothing away from the heart and determination of that 2005 Vandy team. Now, what's-his-name's Dad, that guy I can do without. But give the Commodores credit for a good team last year.

A team so good they lost to Middle Tennessee State and Kentucky.

Oh, man, there's a lot I could do with this post. But I happen to like you Beef88, so I'm going to limit myself to one: Are you saying that you were so bad last year that even the mediocre could beat you?

Last year? Yes. Example: Vandy

Is this what you bring us today? You don't have the UF training table menu for this evening or another ill informed attack on the "U"? Please bring back the insightful analysis we've grown used to receiving from you. I want more reports on how "horse country" helps the Gators entice top notch recruits to choose Gainesville.

If you are looking for someone to give Vandy any credit, you are on the wrong board.

There were two stories about major college football in today's Orlando Sentinel. The first was about how Joe Cohen, a former running back, was moved last year to defensive tackle for UF and loves it. The second was about how a UM player who just got off probation for burglarizing two homes in Broward County is going to transfer to a JUCO in Los Angeles where he will be personally supervised by a sheriff's deputy.

I am not kidding.

The Orlando paper is just reporting the Willie Williams story? How do they get their information, carrier pigeon? As usual, the central part of the state lagging behind. Again, do you have any menus or equine reports for us?

I could NEVER vote for a gator. So if I have to vote for a blood sucking lawyer, then I will always choose one who has a degree from UT.

You DID lose to them, the refs just didn't want to see it that way. I'm not sure if I'd look at last year's UF team as any measuring mark of excellence in the SEC either..

I hold no grudge against Hat. I gather he is a lawyer in Miami and he must just be absolutely inundated day in and day out with Gator fans making comments. Must be hell for him, especially knowing that as the seasons come and go, his own team is in the twilight of its life as a major program whereas Florida has seen a rebirth!!!

Don't you remember, that's where he wrote his scathing words about Coach Fulmer when his bench-riding big brother couldn't complete a pass against Georgia.

I'll bet it has My Little Pony stickers on it.

A rebirth? Really?

So what happens if Florida falls on it's face this season? Does that mean the program is dead? I don't think I would take three straight 8-5 seasons and then have one 10 win season and say that you have expierenced a "rebirth" just yet. Florida fans are shooting their wad a little early on the Urban Crier. It's gonna be fun to watch them turn on him when things don't exactly pan out the way they think.
