High probability Ark loss ended TN chance for final 12

The Arkansas game has very little chance of being the tipping point. If the Vols go 11-1 in the regular season, they’re in. If they go 10-2, they’re likely in as at least one of those wins is Alabama or Georgia. If the Vols go 9-3, they’re almost certainly out although I’m not 100% convinced they’d be in with losses to Alabama/Georgia and a win against Arkansas anyway unless OU really becomes a massive signature victory.

Kind of the way it looks. OU was our only impressive victory and it’s not looking as impressive. Losses to Georgia and Bama might have knocked us out anyways. Bama looks beatable; maybe not for us but beatable none the less. We have to fix some issues then we have a chance.

Lol the same fans screaming "we're going undefeated we'll kill AL/GA" after a few middling wins are the ones screaming this team sucks Heupel sucks! After a tough road loss. Just clowns. Get hold of your emotions people.
Uh. One middling win. One bad loss. Was no “middling wins”.

Both Bama and Georgia look beatable this year.

Just not by us.

Really not sure what happened to this team, but something got broken right around halftime of the Oklahoma game. Whatever that was has sent this team into a tailspin Playing scared

Looking at TN remaining schedule, the only sure win is probable UTEP. No better than 50% chance on three, and worse than that on...well you know. LOL
Est Odds: win/lose
FLA-50/50
A-30/70
K-50/50
MS-60/40
G-25/75
UTEP-100/0
V-45/55
Are these actual odds or are you just throwing **** at the wall?

While I agree the play calling has been conservative this far, I don't agree with the notion that this is our offense the rest of the season, against every opponent. It's football. There are ups and downs. We could come out and steamroll UF and I wouldn't be surprised.

I think we will hear miss st, but you are right. The other four games are highly problematic

Not sure about that. We came out and dominated at the start of the second half and looked in control until we ran into the punter.

OU and now Arky have shown we have no answer for the 5-3-3 IF the front 3 can stop or slow down the run. Granted, not every team has the talent to do that.

Do FL, Bama, Ga, KY have enough talent? Yup

Heupel better spend the rest of the week at the drawing board because what we're doing is not working.

Kentucky and Vandy won't be easy outs that's for sure.. Uf has been our Kryptonite for a long time. Bama has weapons and the Dawgs will have us at their place. This season is going to be a lot tougher than most realize. Especially with the offense sputtering. There are issues there i'm not sure will get fixed by years end.

GA and Bama certainly do and will exploit the weaknesses even more than OU and Arky.

Luckily, FL and KY may not have the coaching talent to take as much advantage. We will see next week.

My concern is hitting the drawing board means new plays, new reads to make, new routes, etc which without a ton of practice can mean missed assignments, timing that's off, reads that are off, etc. I'm not sure how much retooling we need to keep the 3-3-5 honest but the meat of the SEC season isn't a great time for major changes.
