As someone very critical of that complete crapshow we all saw last night, I am telling you STEP BACK FROM THE EDGE!

It was a bad night. Our OL tackles wallowed around like walruses and Nico got snakebit. CJH must have gotten smacked in the head or something.

Point is, we have the talent and coaching to fix this. This is not a oh woe is us 7-5 type year. We do need to get it together but I think we will see a different team come out against Florida. Now the team that comes out against Bama will be the one who lets us know how we will do in the playoff.

I would say 75% chance it was made with all the factors. That 25% chance of a miss is still magnitudes greater than I had for our offense driving the length of the field in 75 seconds after not doing squat all game.

Trust me, I understand the logic behind what Heupel did. I just think it's gonna make the D kinda say WTH? We put the game on their shoulders for basically 58 plus minutes then punked out. If you're gonna put everything on their shoulders and tell them to win you the game, then you have to follow through.

I can't disagree with you about how the defense might feel about having it taken out of their hands like that.

I think losing on the FG kick would've put a lot of attention on the D about the long pass that let them get close.

This way the D comes out as having done their job and we're all after the O Line, Nico, the play calls which is where the game was lost.

I don't think anyone on the sidelines was really worried about who the fans wanted to blame. Lord knows there is enough blame to go around (a few times) after last night

Just seems like this will be something that comes back and bites us in the butt at the worst possible moment. Either you have to trust your squad on the field or not. As in life-taking the middle road rarely works to your advantage long term.

So when this staff wins 4 games you have between 60/40 and 50/50 you’re going to praise them for doing an amazing job, right?

Because if your numbers are right, there’s only a 6.75% chance (.5*.5*.6*.45) that we win all four those.

I'm not so sure they don't have the talent. They just haven't been playing like it.

In the end, it doesn't matter. You could put the ETSU team in Florida uniforms and they would somehow still give us a run for our money.

NCST lost to Wake Forest, all the Vols get is some style points for putting up 51 points on NCST. The goal has always been to win them all, now it becomes crucial. There is a lot of football left still the chance for more upsets. Going by your odds UT has gone from playoff contender to bottom 3 in the SEC in one weeks time. Miss St is about the worst team in the conference and you think UT is 60/40 at home?

The UF is the next deal breaker for playoffs. Convincing win and we are still in the race and Arky was just a bad night. A loss to UF, which is definitely possible due to our track record with them, and all credibility for the team and Hype are gone for the season.

We are fixable. Everything that happened last weekend is teachable and I think the coaches can find a way to get our guys where they need to be. I think a lot of it is on these guys to come out w/ the right mindset . How we respond the next 2 weeks will tell me everything I need to know about this football team.

That appears to be his belief going by his odds for the coming games. If they only win the UTEP game and lose all the 50/50 games and the Miss St game, they will be a bottom 3 team. I don't believe that.

Yall are crazy. Wish I could see the world through your glasses. The team that I watched play Oklahoma and Arkansas is not beating Georgia, they’re not beating Alabama, and now Kentucky looks damn good along with vandy being a serious thorn in the side. Florida beats us no matter how good we are and look a lot better than they started the season recently. This season could honestly get ugly very quickly.

agreed - on Saturday we went from being a "title contender" to will they make the playoffs. It was that bad of a performance sadly


we have to beat Bama AND Georgia now and win all the others... OR beat one, hang with the other, win all the other games and pass the eye test, and things just work out... but I'd be surprised seeing a 9-3 team make it in.
