The aforementioned private lake didn’t see any archers. Much less 20.
I’m disappointed

Looks pretty awesome MSME. How many days was the trek in total? And what is the max elevation on that trail?

We did it a bit different than normal, since we live here. Normally the trail is either a 4 or 5 day ending in Macchu Picchu. None of us wanted to pay for the Macchu Picchu part as we've done that too many times with family. So we started on a trail before the trail. Ours was 4d starting at 8000 feet, maxing at 15,200 feet on day 2, then a couple days decent into the jungle.

I'm not sure why that posted twice like that.

Edit: Figured it out and fixed it..lovin this new pic icon feature. 😁

If you haven't floated the scenic section on the Snake in the Park, I highly recommend doing so. They have guided raft tours, but it is also easily done in canoes if you can drop a car at the takeout point. You can put in at Deadman's Bar and float down to Moose. The views are stunning.

It is already definitely on the bucket list. I don't know how long it will be before I can get back though, I have so many places to go before I can take another trip there. We have been there twice, and still haven't been able to do the Beartooth hwy, the float trip or the Phelps lake hike. ☹

I need more time, and more money 😁

Greyson Highlands state park Virginia...this is one of our favorite parks. All my really good pics from this park are on my old phone. I took this one a few weeks ago, but we couldn't hike that day because a bear attack had shut all the trails down just before we arrived. This park is adjacent to the huge Mt Rogers national reacreation area, and the famous Virginia Creeper trail is nearby also. The AT runs right by this park.
