I agree with you about your first couple of sentences, what i find funny is that the apologists would actually use that logic against you. What i mean is they like to say that historically we havent been great at basketball so how can you possibily ever expect better? Well if thats the route they would take then i would say losing to a team in the tournament with a long history of not winning a tournament game in almost 40 years is significant. Im not saying that is what you are suggesting I just think its funny how the pumpers ignore certain facts that dont agree with their narratives. The fact that Oregon St hasn't won a tournament game in 40 years is not relevant to anything. It makes a nice story, but really doesn't mean anything... I'll bet the kids' parents weren't even alive then.. What does mean something is that the VOLS had 3 future NBA players on the floor and had zero chemistry. No rebounding... horrific shooting... milquetoast. Embarrassing. Thank God for Oral Roberts University today
From the opening tip we seemed disinterested. Posing after shots... weak rebounding. I can't even call it effort until the last 5 minutes.I agree with you about your first couple of sentences, what i find funny is that the apologists would actually use that logic against you. yeah this years team was not an easy team to really care about. I always pull for UT but these guys just didnt seem interested in being there most of the time. Some did sometimes but none did all the time. From the opening tip we seemed disinterested. Posing after shots... weak rebounding. I can't even call it effort until the last 5 minutes.
I think Josiah is trending toward being here four years, If he could develop a consistent outside/3pt shot, he could be a 15/5/5 guy in his sleep. I believe that Springer and Johnson would be better served to come back a year, but it's hard to pass up NBA money. This year's draft is the deepest I can recall in a while, and I don't think either of them are lottery picks.Look, I love all of these guys. But I try to look at it as objectively as possible, and they could grow a ton as players by staying in school.
KJ desperately needs a jump shot. JS desperately needs to be a better 3-shooter (cuz he will need that more at next level).
Even Durant wasn’t DURANT in college, but he seemed further along than these guys.
Sadly, I think Europe is the ceiling for JJJ. He would be a fool to leave college.
and the cancer spreads, seeping into all UT sports. We seem to not give a rats azz about representing the school. It's getting embarrassing...
Sorry, but I don’t see it.
They both throw up a lot of air balls to be NBA stars. Springer has average measurable athletic ability - but above average feel for the game.springer and Johnson need to stay another year. They are good but I mean not like Grant Williams good or admiral. I guess it’s something with potential with nba lottery picks??? I don’t really understand that part.

Which is why you are a fan and not a talent scout for NBA teams. You aren't getting the final product as an 18 year old kid, but Keon has nearly every variable the NBA wants in a player and will be a top ten pick. I wouldn't be surprised if he's an all-star in five years.
