Miami? Small commuter school, doesn't even have an on campus stadium.
Before Osborne they had Bob Delaney who won multiple national championships. They had basically 40-50 years of pretty sustained, high level winning under those 2. Like us they made a succession of bad hires when Osborne retired and lost their winning culture. It can be tough to build that back from scratch, as we know, and they are in worse position to rebound than we are.I’ve felt Nebraska was almost all Osborne.
Notre Dame still recruits high but they’ve forever lost their luster of “if you’re a Catholic kid that’s your dream school.” From here on out they’re always going to have a top TOP flight coach to compete. They can’t recruit AS easily as they did for their entire history from 90s and earlier really 80s and earlier
Yes. They have NO recruiting region. I’ve visited the school and there’s nothing to write home about. The local community IS rabid supportive of the sports teams. That I give them. It’s not a beautiful area, it’s a nice college town but that’s it for a long ways in any direction, climate sucks, it just doesn’t seem to have much to sell. Before Osborne they had Bob Delaney who won multiple national championships. Alabama lolI’ve followed recruiting for over 25 years. Many schools have consistently recruited at a high levels thru many coaches.
What is a school in your opinion that you always wonder why so many top players want to go there?
Whether is the school itself, the climate, the surrounding community, etc.
What is a college football program you still shake your head at and wonder “why are so many top athletes wanting to go there vs all the options they have?
Just curious as many of you follow recruiting and have followed it for decades.
I lived in Georgia for 12 years and enjoyed my time there. But gotta admit this is funny as sh1tGeorgia
This has to be said…
Athens women don’t know how to properly use a razor…
They’re out here looking like Chewbacca put a Ewok in a headlock underneath that bellybutton.
The football coach gets his hair cut at Walmart.
Seriously, have you ever actually looked at Kirby Smart?
Dude looks like an inbred Frankenstein.
They have two less championships than us, but think they’re better than Tennessee.
The state of Georgia is a dumpster fire…
They always trying to steal our water, because their water tests positive for beta, & Ebola.
The interstate has potholes, every exit off I-75 looks like a Chernobyl rape shack, and don’t dare to try stopping in the outskirts of Atlanta because you’re definitely gonna get shanked while pumping your gas.
Their mascot is an abomination on God’s will…
That slack jawed genetic mishap on the sidelines just staring into space while grown men bark like dogs, and wonder why they’re still a virgin at 47.
They’ve had one receiver hit 1,000 yards in a 100 years, but they somehow convince these 4&5 star kids that they’ll be the one to change that.
Surprise, they don’t.
Just a couple of reasons why it surprises me that Georgia does well in recruiting.
Nah look here. I googled things to do in Lincoln Nebraska for college students. They have a children’s zoo, an international quilt museum, and more!I’ve felt Nebraska was almost all Osborne.

Haha as a UGA fan, I have to applaud the effort and originality in your eloquent and elaborate explanation of your hate for Georgia. Well done sir! I had a thorough laughGeorgia

Not sure how either of those programs are still down relative to their standards.I guess this is where the cultural divide comes in. I would argue Miami is one of the most obvious schools to be a recruiting haven. For one, Miami has arguably the best looking women in the country from the perspective of a young black male. Also it's nightlife is arguably the best. And back in day when Miami was killing it, the Hurricane players got priority even over the Dolphins in the night scene.
Miami Hurricanes when they have it going probably can't be beat from the perspective of a recruit when it comes to environment and lifestyle. Beautiful beaches, beautiful women, and killer nightlife are hard to beat for a 18-22 year old. If I was college football recruit and trying to get to the NFL wasn't the priority I would put Miami or Southern Cal at the top when it comes to schools with the best lifestyle to offer.

In regards to the ladies, you can find beautiful women at almost any college campus.
San Diego St was way better than Arizona State imo.
Tennessee was better than Florida St.
Hampton was just as good as all of them!
Hahahaha
