Paul Konerko.

Career .282 hitter with nearly 2,000 hits, 387 HR, 352 doubles, 1,220 RBI, and 1,011 runs scored. Still got a few years left in the tank and is having a great season this year.

Larry Walker.

Career .313 hitter with over 2,100 hits, 383 HR, 471 doubles, 1,311 RBI, 1,355 runs scored and 230 SB.

Tim Raines.

Career .294 hitter with 2,605 hits, 170 HR, 430 doubles, 980 RBI, 1,571 runs scored and 808 SB.

Bernie Williams.

Career .297 hitter with 2,336 hits, 287 HR, 449 doubles, 1,257 RBI, 1,366 runs scored.

Louis Gonzalez.

Career .283 hitter with 2,591 hits, 354 HR, 596 doubles, 1,439 RBI, 1,412 runs scored.

Just a few to debate over, have at it.

Raines should get in. The other guys are doubtful.

I agree on Raines.

Konerko still has work to do and isn't slowing down apparently.

Does playing at Coors Field just eliminate Walker?

Nearly 600 doubles by Gonzo.

Not saying they are, just some good numbers to play with.

Man, Bernie had some great postseasons, not sure he doesn't qualify.

None. All good players, but none greatest of all time. But with how watered down the HOF is now, I'm sure a few will get in.

Playing those games at Coors/Mile High is a problem for Walker, and it's just going to be hard for any of the borderline guys that played in the steroid era to get in.

I think Jeff Bagwell and Fred McGriff are in line ahead of those guys.

I'm not saying these guys should be in, just guys that you could make a case for.

Obviously numbers wise, Jeff and Fred are deserving of having a case made for them, Fred in particular.

I find Raines case the most interesting seeing as how the only HOF caliber statistic he has is SB's.

Here is a little stat about Gonzo.

15th in all-time doubles, every player in front on hm has at least 400 more at-bats then him and many with more than 1,000 more at-bats.

If Phil Rizzuto can make the Hall then you can make a case for any of these players.

Raines deserves to be in. plain and simple.

The folks who don't vote for Larkin and Raines are exactly the reason I believe in forced sterilization and hope the statheads eventually go the way of the pet rock.

I thought Jayson Stark was going to blow a gasket shredding his BWAA cohorts for not voting Raines into the Hall one night on BBTN.

As he should have. Those clowns have made the process a travesty.

I honestly don't know enough about Raines to make a fair assessment. I know he was right with Rickey for speed guys in the 80's and was great at taking pitches and the lil things.

How Larkin isn't in boggles my mind.

Paul Konerko.
Depends on how close he is to 500 HR when he retires, but I doubt it.
Larry Walker.
Yes. Playing in Coors should not be a deciding factor.
Tim Raines.
Yes.
Bernie Williams.
Probably. Those number plus the postseason stats are good enough for me.
Louis Gonzalez.
No, Steroids.

Thoughts in BOLD.
