That is just it, the job hasn't been done just as well. Declining results, declining attendance, and no prospects for improvement on the horizon.

Bring back the women's AD!

I have to wonder if Tennessee had just been an average team when Holly started coaching. Would the attitude toward her be the same?

A few years ago, there was a petition to oust a men's basketball coach. Is there a double standard because the subject here is white?

I do not believe it is a color thing. That is way off base. Look at all the women’s programs that were once top notch that are barely on life support. I am not saying that this is relevant to Tennessee’s athletic department, but a lot of colleges look at their women’s programs as a title 9 imposition. Women’s programs are not given the same value as men’s programs. Also Holly has been loyal to the University, she is part of the Lady Vol family and she was recommended by Pat. And, she does have an outstanding record on paper.

How in the world is women's basketball losing 2.4 million dollars. I remember when Pat was coaching was always in the black most seasons not by much around 50 to 100 k. Hard to understand that kind of loss when we still draw about 8 to 9 thousand a game up to 12 for big games. Holly is making far less than some of the coaches at other top programs. UConn and SC are paying over a million dollars for their head coach.

Women’s programs are not given the same value as men’s programs.

It's not a gender (men vs. women) issue. It's revenue generating sports (men's football and men's basketball) vs. non-revenue generating sports (all other men's sports and all women's sports). Except for the big two, all other athletic programs are a drain on a university's limited resources. Schools value programs that add financial value to the bottom line. Women's basketball is really on par with men's tennis, men's golf, and men's swimming. They all cost more to operate than they bring in from ticket sales and television revenue.

They considered and hired her with an incredible CPS era. Probably so!

Do you think they would have even considered Holly if the Pat Summit era was just average...Probably no
