Nothing like some fresh vegetables right out of the garden. I have had some awesome gardens but right now there is no place to have one where I live.

I really, really miss messing around in the garden as well as the fresh vegetables!

I went past Ritter Farms today in Grainger County. That's where the majority of the famous Grainger County tomatoes are grown. That place was so crowded. Looks like it's Mater time! :laugh1:

Oh...and, Am I the only person who doesn't like tomatoes? :)

I didn't think you could be American and NOT like tomatoes.

I love those yellow tomatoes and occasionally a red one or two.

However, I think tomatoes are one of those foods that you really have to acquire a taste for. And also, sometimes I just cannot stand to think about eating one and at other times I will actually make a trip to the store just to get some tomatoes, onions, and squash.

Miss Crystal, you should know that only 53.7624% of the American public has publicly acknowledged that they, in fact, do like tomatoes.

What about the other 46.2376%? Do they not like tomatoes...or just haven't yet admitted that they do. ;)

That's like someone not liking cornbread, but loving hushpuppies.

Sure, they're made out of the same thing...but they taste totally different. Just like ketchup and tomatoes. :)

I think maybe the old folks knew how to eat better than we do...

Oh...that's no secret at all. :laugh1:
They actually sat down at the kitchen table to eat. I can't remember the last time I did that...
