Homeland

Definitely a good episode. I'm guessing Quinn gets a lot closer to Haqqani than most of his CIA buddies think. Did anyone else think that CIA director was an idiot for handing over that asset list? I thought it was completely irrational.

Definitely a mistake, but in light of the circumstances, it would be a difficult decision, especially for a guy like him, who's a politician and not a trained CIA operative, and who also is fairly new to the CIA. I really hated that guy when he originally came on the show; this season, I've started to like him quite a bit. He's pretty straight-forward and is pretty good at calling people out when they need it.

They could still kill him off imo. I honestly thought they were going to do it right after he handed him the case.

This has been the best season of Homeland by far, IMO. Last night was a very interesting twist at the end. I won't spoil it but it sets up a finale that I cannot wait to watch.

Meh! It's been aired. You shouldn't be reading the thread if you haven't seen the latest episode.
When I saw that I was like "WHAAAT?!"

Dar Adal is up to some shady crap. The CIA director calling Carrie telling her some major shake ups are coming alongside the Dar Adal twist makes me think that maybe people are being put in place for a major US attack. That's a long shot theory though. I thought since the first season that Dar Adal was shady and it was hard to tell where his loyalties lie.

I had the same thoughts about Dar Adal. Never trusted him. Now that Quinn has gone solo, like Jack Bauer, I wonder if he makes it out alive.

The only other good option for Dar Adal is that he's working as a double. He is a black ops director so it's an option. Quinn is one of the characters that I actually like who is still fairly grounded despite all he's had to deal with. The preview has him back coordinating with the CIA so I think he's ok in the short term. Do you think the Pakistani chief is still on Carrie's side of things? Is he really trustworthy?

I think he is because he had the opportunity to do something with Carrie when they switched her meds, she went crazy and when he helped her she thought he was Brody. But there is probably a twist this week and that is a good possibility.

Wow, like that Quinn is back in the heat, DA and Saul are working together, and Carrie is in a whirlwind... now we wait till next year.

I thought it was anticlimactic as well. I kept waiting for something to blow up, or someone to kidnap the kid. Definitely a different type of ending from what they've done in previous seasons.

I liked the low key ending, because sometimes this show moves a little too fast for it's own good. Still I have a case of blue balls over certain plot points that will not be settled until next year. Also the mom thing felt like something that belongs in a middle of the season episode, but I do understand why they did it this way (for the Quinn plot point).

I do agree that this might be the best season of the show so far. Outside of season 1 I haven't really enjoyed this show that much, but rebooting like they did has worked. I can get into a whole debate over how they should of handled the Brody storyline (the 24 roots of fast pacing ruined the Brody story), but I will just sit back and enjoy this season. My second favorite show on Showtime behind Masters of Sex.

Check out Ray Donovan.

I did not like the series finale.

They should give us something to look forward to next year. I guess I've gotten used to Homeland taking twists when you least expect them.

Maybe Carrie found out about Brody, and before she could tell anyone he killed her? Then go off the spin that there is a terrorist working in the government?

Why would you say that about me James?

They kept her crazy to a minimum this season which is something they needed to do. I don't think I once thought, "oh man, someone make her stop", like I have in the past.

I thought the season finale was anticlimactic as well. I kept waiting for Quinn's truck to have a car bomb or something after he and Carrie said good bye after her dad's wake. This has been my favorite season though.
