Honestly...is anyone really watching Thinking Out Loud?

Could they find two less appealing dudes to try and connect with an audience of SEC fans?

About the only thing I watch is SEC Nation/Final. I am used to Pawl so he doesn’t bother me anymore. I might watch Sportcenter every once in a while. Other than that the lineup has gone to pot.

Yep. I'd watch the whole show when it was McElroy and Spears. Now it's just bad.

The whole genre is played out. They’ve spent 10 years trying to replicate Kornheiser and Wilbon. It’s just not compelling TV.

I tried it once while channel surfing. I thought of the above first and then I thought Finebaum has face only mother could love or face for radio but he does bring in big numbers. Then I remembered Oprahs numbers falling when she got slim so she got fat again then numbers were fine. I’m thinking the execs are changing from when there were just 3 TV channels were the faces had to be appealing,to now with thousands. if you can get a small group of audience you can pay the overhead and please some groups that want to see someone they can identify with. It’s so EPSNish.

That's a good point. I had forgotten that it was originally hosted by McElroy and Spears.

Maybe the ad executives know more than I do. Maybe there really is a market out there for guys who look like they slept in their clothes and don't bathe regularly. On the Halloween show, the one guy was dressed as The Dude from The Big Lebowski and it took me a minute to realize he was actually wearing a costume.

It's SEC Network (yes, I realize it's ESPN). And I don't watch. But I do turn it on from time to time hoping to see something interesting that relates to the Vols. And when I turn it on at certain times I see these guys. So I wondered what everyone else thought.
