They look like they should be hosting a show on The Dungeons and Dragons Channel.
They're whiffing at that, too.ESPN/SEC network is trying to build audience among younger millenial and gen z viewers. Boomers like us are not their target sudience
But but but they wear Nike shoes w their suits. And wild socks!!!They're whiffing at that, too.
I know basically nobody that watches ESPN's talking heads outside of actual games anymore. I've been saying it for the last decade- if they got back into showing sports during the day (remember stuff like Pro Beach Hockey, etc.?) they'd probably see their outlook improve. I don't care about watching Stephen A. Smith shove another idiotic opinion down my throat, nor do I care to watch whatever sports-ignorant suit or bimbo they throw behind the desk tell me what I should care about in sports (or, even more often lately, not in sports).
The problem is you have washed up 60+ year old Disney executives trying to force what they perceive as "cool" from inside their tiny little disconnected bubble of a life. But but but they wear Nike shoes w their suits. And wild socks!!!
They're so cool!!
Cmon man.. hip young people are ALWAYS the smartest
I guarantee you there is. Its not taboo anymore to be a “nerd” and be an athlete. I mean look at the biggest movies now…almost always based on comic books.I have watched the show a couple times and don’t mind them. This is hilarious though.
FWIW, with nerd/geek culture taking over the world the way it is, I wouldn’t be surprised if there are some guys on the team playing D&D.
Maybe they’ll get the axe too along with the massive layoffs/cuts at Disney coming soon. But I agree…it IS hard to imagine a ratings release that justifies most of the ESPN programming. The problem is you have washed up 60+ year old Disney executives trying to force what they perceive as "cool" from inside their tiny little disconnected bubble of a life.
I just can't believe this is the best they can do. I was so excited back when I first heard that there was going to be a whole network dedicated solely to covering the SEC. The reality has been very disappointing.
