Honestly, she just needs to shut up now.

you must be kidding me. she was asked about a national story and gave her opinion. where in this interview did she say she considered palin a mentor or that palin spoke for her or even IMPLY that palin was important to her?

Coulter: Resignation was "brilliant" YouTube - Ann Coulter: 'Palin Made A Brilliant Move By Quitting'

Hannity, just plain smitten with her: YouTube - Sarah Palin Interview with Sean Hannity -- Alaska Governor Speaks with FOX News Channel [1/2]

Limbaugh says she's the most and articulate voice for conservatism: YouTube - Cafferty File: Limbaugh-- Palin most prominent and articulate voice for conservatism

Two-three years ago I was a fan of his, but it seems to me that he made a conscious decision to move to the left in his show and so I just don't find it nearly as even and entertaining as I used to.

We are not afraid of her. We are shocked by her ignorance and insulted that anyone would try to pass her off as capable of much more than school crossing guard -- at a very low traffic intersection.

Are you talking about "Botox" Joe Biden?

non of these imply they look to her for public policy and some of these things look REALLY old.

Of course you do, otherwise you'd not be the elitist snob that you are.

Ah yes, the famous and tired last resort for the conservative: call the left-leaning an elitist snob because he wants the leadership to be educated and articulate.

They seem to think that she's the star of the conservative base. Has someone else emrged in the meantime?

At any rate, I do sense that people are distancing themsevles from her, like Rove did, and so you may be right that these don't represent the current position they all have of her now. Coulter pretty clearly is going to hang on for dear life. But RL and Hannity may jump ship here pretty soon, as well.

I would not exactly consider myself a conservative. You are what you are, everyone is helpless without you and your type to lead us.

Perhaps, like a great piece of pottery, she will absorb the fires of the kiln (detractors) and emerge beautiful and strong.

she never got an easy question asked her during the campaign, unlike hussein.
Exactly how are "What are your opinions on the Bush Doctrine?" and "What newspapers or magazines do you read?" difficult questions?

Nothing Sarah Palin says or does will ever be crazier than when John McCain decided to pick her as his running mate. That was scary crazy.

I don't think it was crazy so much as uninformed. If nothing else, given the way that things have played out between their camps post-election I think we can all agree that the communication between their staffs was pretty bad.

those questions were a bunch of set up questions. some of those interviews were nothing more than a bunch of leftist hacks making fun of her because she was in alaska.

They don't have magazines and newspapers in Alaska? I mean, I knew the place is relatively undeveloped, but I had no idea it was 16th century.

Actually, come to think of it, that explains a lot about her.

If either of those questions are difficult for you to answer, you shouldn't be running for dogcatcher of Broken Arrow, OK. They weren't making fun of her because she's from Alaska. They were properly skewering her for being a knownothing hick.

I don't think Palin is going to be showing up for any Mensa meetings anytime soon, but you've got to admit, "Where do you get your news?" was condescending and "What do you think of the Bush Doctorine?" is about as nebulous as it gets.

There's no doubt it's an open ended question. However, someone running to be a breath from the presidency should at least be able to start a coherent answer to it. The fact that a measurable portion of the electorate is so passionately supportive of a willfully ignorant airhead like Palin goes a long way to explaining why this country is less and less competitive globally.

She clearly wasn't and isn't qualified to be POTUS. VP on the otherhand apparently doesn't take much so long as the head dude survives his term.

I hope she fades away but fear she won't.

I don't think she had any business being the VP, but what I don't get is the irrational venom that she seems to attract. The people who aren't satisfied to merely defeat her in an election don't seem to get that they are basically legitimizing her.
