Hooker in for Lions on Fox

The Titans need to get rid of upper management and start drafting players with Vols ties in abundance. That might help them win some fans here in Middle Tennessee .... I'm definitely not one. Taking Levis over Hooker in the draft was downright stupid.

I remember way back when, they took Jevon Kearse over .... I think it was Leonard Little. Not a way to gain instate loyalty when you draft from our SEC foes.
Little left UT after the '97 year, and Kearse left after '98, I believe...Do know at least one year apart...

Jevon Kearse was drafted in 1999.

And Leonard Little was drafted in 1998. (To further clarify, neither of the two selections the Oilers/Titans franchise picked in that draft prior to Little’s selection were defensive ends, either - those two selections were WR Kevin Dyson of Utah and CB Samari Rolle of Florida State)

Browns fans don’t deserve him. The way they treated him after the drop a few weeks ago was sickening. The organization doesn’t either. They trotted out 3 WR’s who weren’t nearly as good as him all year just because they paid them more. Hope he keeps balling out as hard as he is and then wrecks their bank account or moves on to a better team.

It was someone from UT in 99 that the Titans could have taken instead of Kearse. I just don't remember who it was.

I remember now, Al Wilson was in that draft but a mute point as Wilson played LB and Leader was a DE.

Al Wilson was the first Tennessee player chosen. There wasn't any edge rusher from Tennessee in that draft. Leonard Little for that matter wasn't as good of an NFL player as Kearse. He only played 6 games each of his first two years because he killed somebody drunk driving, then got suspended the next year for performance enhancing drugs.

I still don’t understand why they left Houston.
They shoulda’ stayed there.
Because Houston wouldn't promise them a new stadium and Tennessee did.

All Houston had to to was pony up on the new stadium and Tennessee may have gotten the expansion team years later..

Nashville will get the obligatory Super Bowl (like Nashville needs more tourists), and that will make it all good.
I wonder how many Titans fans understand that superbowl doesn’t have to include the Titans. We can spend our tax dollars to help LA and San Francisco have a top notch event. Maybe they will include a country star for the halftime show, if they’re feeling generous - probably someone from Austin though.

Leonard Little came out the year before Kearse. Kearse was a great draft pick. There was no Vol in that draft who should have been taken over Kearse.

It’s not the Titans job to draft Tennessee Vols. They are a professional organization, not a community outreach program. It’s their job to draft the best players. That said, they don’t draft the best players. Levis was a moronic pick. They didn’t owe it to us to draft Hooker simply because he’s a Vol. They owed it to us to pass on Levis because he sucks.

They are currently the worst organization in the NFL.
No it's the Panthers and it's not even close.

They traded...

DJ Moore
Darnell Wright
Tyrique Stevenson
2025 2nd round pick (which will probably be the first 2nd round pick.)

For Bryce Young who got benched for Andy Dalton.

The Titians def are fighting the Jets who signed a 40 year washed QB and keep doubling down on bad mistakes.

The Browns who has one of the worst owners in the league, who also ruined our football program for years. The fact that they signed Watson is one of the worst signings ever.

Taking Levis was stupid. Taking Hooker in the first round would have been stupid too. Manning chose Denver over Nashville. Taking UT players just for the sake of taking UT players would be even worse incompetence than we see now. The NFL is a league of the very best players. Also, most of UT's best players aren't usually from this state anyway

What's the logic here? If a minority does a poor job he's a "DEI hire", what kind of hire is Josh Daniels when he repeatedly fails?
A dumb hire. There was an article or something floating around, mentioning that the league was pressuring her to make a diversity hire.
