Hopson dislocated finger

You could tell by his approach to the free throw line and his mental state that he would never hit two free throws---I'm actually shocked he hit one. As for his ball handling, he is quite good if there is no one within 5 feet of him--otherwise it is a turnover or steal for the opposing team. I seriously doubt that a broken pinkie on a non-shooting hand had anything to do with anything.

Way to miss the point. Read down a couple posts from the one you quoted, and there I spell my point out for you.

Also, I doubt Hopson's dislocated finger was worse than Kobe's broken finger. But maybe that's just me.

so after you make 3 more posts changing your idea, i cant quote this one that i disagree with? and broken doesnt always necessarily mean it hurts worse than dislocated or sprained.

No broken bones usually don't really hurt. I think T. Harris is a cry baby for not playing in the all star games---all he has is a broken bone in his foot. A sprain I could understand.

You are becoming better at reading posts. Hopefully, some of yours will make more sense in the future.

2 examples of when broken doesnt hurt as bad as sprain.

1. 2 years ago my friend ran the 100M dash with a small broken bone in his foot for the last half of the season. yeah it hurt like hell but not nearly as much as a sprain would.

2. this past weekend i rolled the crap out of my ankle. when we asked a doctor what he thought, he said if its broken, it wont hurt as badly, it will just last longer. sprain will hurt a lot more, just not as long.

get over yourself.

Yea, with regard to ankles, not fingers. You're the one that needs to get over yourself. You know as well as I do that I didn't change my position. You just chose to misinterpret what I was saying simply to disagree with me.

Actually, a bad sprain takes longer to get over than a broken bone---so you are wrong again. As for pain, you could not play on either with a foot--a sprain of a finger is another matter, especially on the non-shooting hand. If he was so injured it affected his play, he should have told the coaching staff he couldn't perform. Better that than to miss a chance at the final four.

if you are refering to what i said about my ankle, im going to listen to the doctor before i listen to you. im not saying his finger was hurt so badly that it affected his performance, im just saying you never know.

Ab like this- I know this one player who had a bad season and after it was over said he was hurt and it was TRUE, so no he's not lying.

I'm trying to remember a Vol basketball player that was an all-around better player than Hopson as a soph. I'm also trying to remember a soph. basketball player that made a buzzer-beater to win a game against a top tier SEC rival.

You guys are right though, he sucks.

LVol, to me its crazy that you'd entertain this idea, yet throw out the realistic possibility that his injured finger may have affected his handles.

Because it's not a realistic possibility. People stub their fingers and dislocate their fingers all the time in basketball, and people don't just fall apart. And, as I posted before in this thread, Hopson's ball handling was consistently bad the entire year not just after the Auburn game.

I'm assuming you mean his "ball handling" fell apart bc he went 7-9 with 17 in the quarters of the league tourney iirc. All your gonna get from me is that he hasn't achieved the rather lofty expectations that some had of him. Well have to agree to disagree I guess. No sweat€
