Anyone see the dribble between the legs/crossover and two steps to a dunk in the AL game? He can get to the rim anytime he wants and I swear he has no idea how good he is. I think he is on the cusp of putting it together and showing just how talented he is. Three straight games of not settling for 3's and getting to the rim. If only he would do it for 40 minutes, or whatever he plays in the game. First step may be the best I've ever seen at UT.

What say you VN?

Loads of potential, but can't say that just yet...

I will say this thought...with TS gone, he is the one player that has to step it up and take over games....people will begin to key on Chism down the stretch...

the coaches have been preachiing to him to be more aggressive and take control. They want him to be the player that can single handedly take over and put the team on his back(i.e. john wall). unfortunately scotty has been a hot streak cold streak guy and never firmly estbished his position as a leader/go-to guy on the team. he has the tools. will be interesting to see if he can gain consistency and become the premier player the coaches want him to be.

Learn the history of UT basketball before asking this question. Not even in the top 10.

He has lately got to rim anytime he wants, but he needs to be consistent. That is the biggest thing with Hopson...

Scotty wont be one of best ever. He wont even be top 2 from his home state. Chris Lofton and Allan Houston are the 2 best to play here from Kentucky. Hopson may not even be the best from his high school to play here, remember he went to same high school as Isaiah Victor who was a special player here. I would love for Scotty to excel but feel he is just going to be a good player unless he can improve consistency from behind arc and shooting free throws as well as defense. As stated earlier he is figuring out that he can out athlete people to the rim.

Yeah, he wont be able to beat Houston and Lofton, unless he did the unthinkable at UT, and won a champion...

That definitely would be unthinkable. he would have to lead the charge on a final four run. I just dont see that. If we are to have a special season with whats transpired Id say Chism leads the charge. If we are talking next year then Hopson might take another backseat as Tobias Harris, Trae Golden and Jordan McCrae will be some hot shots. Not everybody can be a star. Not many teams can do what the 04s at Florida did coexist.

Houston was surrounded by stiffs. Lofton probably a better player but had better players around him so shared stats and was more sucessful as far as wins go. I know one thing id like to see a game of H-O-R-S-E between Houston and Lofton. However if it was a dunk contest then just give to Hopson because the other 2 have no elevation.
