He was haranguing his former personal attorney, Michael Cohen, to get a deal done in Moscow right up until the '16 election. Fraudulent self-promotion is the essence of Trump. He's a mobster who should be in prison.

The point is ... the testimony was over and the verdict was expected today. This date wasnt randomly selected. It was meant to coincide with the verdict. That is apparent. There are no coincidences in politics. You would be naive to think otherwise.

You can agree that the media would generally ignore this story with their allegiance to Biden. Given this, why would Comer want this to come out coinciding with the trump trial? Would he not want at least to have the ability for the media to somewhat focus on this investigation?
