the sec did have a down year. and even then, it was still the best conference

#1 OU lost to UF
#2 Texas beat OSU on a last minute drive(That 2 SEC teams have dismantled the past 2 years)
#3 TT lost to Ole Miss

and the post meant we beat 2 of their top 3 this year. Clear enough??

The SEC had two good teams. Thats it. UF & AL. The Big 12 has two good teams. By that, I mean teams that were NC material. The rest of the SEC was mediocre at best. The Big 12 has 4 NFL qbs. Possibly 5. College football is all about qb play.

Before you guys bash me any more, I drive 6 hours Knoxville at least 3 times a year to watch the Vols. So my loyalty to UT or the SEC isn't in question. Take all teams into account, the SEC wasn't the best conference from top bottom.

All those Big 12 guys will flop at the next level. Stafford is an NFL qb, big deal.

These are all good points. I will just agree to disagree. Everyone has their own opinion, and that is just fine by me.

In closing, let's hope CLK can get us back on the right track. Everything seems to be pointed in that direction, with the staff.

I don't understand the fascination with Stafford. Yeah, he's got a huge arm, but he's inconsistent and makes bad decisions...I see him being a bust in the NFL.

Don't forget that, with the exception of Georgia, the SEC bowl wins were all against better teams as well.

Was there ever any doubt? The SEC proves it on the field year after year. It's the media who hypes the other conferences, while we prove it on the field. It's a shame we don't have a true playoff. That would end any discussion otherwise.
