Make a highlight video and send it to recruiters.

My sister went through this as a softball player in HS. As I understand it, you have to be cleared by the NCAA Clearinghouse in order to even be considered. I'm not really sure how you would go about this, but you should definitely check with your coach and/or athletic director.

Good luck!

Create a thread for yourself on here(check out the format on here. Be sure to include rivals link and YouTube videos.) and hype yourself up.

Create highlight video.

Talk to your high school coach about playing in college. This should help you when recruiters visit your high school.

For most smaller schools (D3, D2, NAIA) there are recruit forms online you can fill out.

you need to attend as many national, regional, local combines you can. That will help get your name out. Also go to as many team camps as you can. It is always good to attend Nike Combine in your area.

Also make sure you get your highlight tape out immediately after this season.
Make sure you have quality grades and your core is solid. Do good on ACT/SAT

you also have to understand that you must have a skill set that translates to the next level....be honest with yourself when assessing your abilities....dont send your tape to Alabama if you arent Alabama material.........make sure your tape is quality...not some crazy tape u made on a phone....and all that music and stuff doesnt matter.......you can have it...but dont put all that cussin on it.....if you like rap..it is better to have instrumental as opposed to lyrics.......

There are several websites out there like 'berecruited.com' that you can submit your films to for help. Just google and you'll find lots of resources out there.

Honestly, if you are a senior you are getting a really late start. But that doesn't mean all hope is lost. Camps, sending out video, and showing out in games are all good ways. NUC camps, Nike camps, etc. But there are academic responsibilities that MUST be taken care of as well. Take your ACT/SAT, also make SURE you are registered with the NCAA Clearinghouse. It's now called something else, NCAA eligibility center or something like that. To old farts like me it will ALWAYS be the clearinghouse, LOL. It's tough because guidance councelors don't do much to prepair you IMO. And unless you play for a powerhouse program where the coaches are familiar with the recruiting process, most of them don't do much to help. Good luck man.

you don't pick them...they pick you. If you are not getting looked at by now. You are probably not a recruit. Don't mean to burst your bubble, but that's how it is. You need to attend a Camp for other recruits so that you can get some exposure and a posted 40 time etc.

To get into those camps you must have references (coaches that say you are a top player)...If you are looking to go to a small school then I would suggest going to their position camps over the summer before your senior year.

If you want to look really good, send some freshman/JV film to recruiters/coaches. It'll get you higher rated/more exsposure. One kid on my team last year did that.

I'm being sarcastic don't do that but seriously go to camps and combines and stuff like that next spring/summer. What position are you/ do you want to play?

NSR| National Scouting Report | College Recruiting| Scouting | College Athletics It's a link to National Scouting Report, they have been the most reputable on line scouting service and were the first to do so. It might cost you about $2,500, but if you are gonna do it, do it. Being that you are late in the process a little help might be necessary IMO. They will send your video to every school in the nation 1 time per month. EVERY school, but they will take a list of your top 30 preferred schools and really get after them. That's why as an earlier post said, you have to be HONEST with yourself. If you are D-2 material, THAT'S OUTSTANDING, nothing to frown upon. NSR will also notify the hosts of camps/combines you are attending. Actually they send your entire profile to every school in the country: size, stats, etc., along with your video. You will be given your own NSR websight and can be contacted by a coach if interested. NSR receives requests from college coaches DAILY in various sports for players. The requests suggest the positions needed, GPA/SAT/ACT scores needed, then the scout working your area will send your profile to that coach. So you have the folks down in Birmingham (home office) sending your profile to every school out there, and they are receiving requests daily from college coaches at all levels. So they are working MULTIPLE avenues to get you noticed. There are SEVERAL companies to go with, but National Scouting Report is the best, most reputable IMO. They are world wide, especially in Tennis, soccer, and golf. They have a GREAT success rate at getting kids landed. It will cost, but you will have to spend money REGARDLESS. Spending $2,500 for NSR to get you $100,000 worth of schooling is cheap IMO. But that might be the parent in me speaking. Go to their website and fill out a questionare. Good luck son.....

Oh, and blur helps tons of TN kids get recognized. He has done some great work for local players lately in the state. You should listen to his input for sure.

You don't have ONE CLUE what you are talking about.
